US East Servers

I can’t even play Dirty Bomb anymore sometimes. Ever since the introduction of CMM I have been relegated to stopwatch only on the server browser because I refuse to put up with “mini-ranked” without the extra rewards for doing so. There is just no incentive to wait for 2 minutes for the game to find me a match with leavers, unbalanced teams, and noobs, when I could just join on instantly from the server browser and stick it out with the same people I just met and actually have fun and not have to wait 3 minutes in between matches every time. But there’s a slight issue with this. About 30% of the time I log on to Dirty Bomb nowadays ALL of the US Eastern servers are full and the only other option is to join a game that will give me inherently bad ping which is fun for no one.

SD, PLEASE add more servers to the server browser. This part of the community is already being neglected and I am being driven to play other games because I’m not going to play CMM, I’m not going to play the broken Ranked mode, and I’m not going to wait 30 minutes for a single spot to open on a server. If the server browser ever goes away you can bet I probably will too.

I thought i was having bad luck. Im on east coast as well and even in cmm im mostly getting non east coast servers. East coast ill get 24 out of ny servers where as 80-120 on west coast.

And as for the 3 min wait ill take it. You try lawbreakers lately??? I was 20 min in a warm up match waiting for players before i rage quit back to db.

Nope, not just you. Over Christmas I’ve probably gone and played Overwatch or just done something else completely over 10 times because all 3 US East servers were full and I didn’t want to deal with “mini-ranked”. It’s less about the 3 minute wait as the experience contained within the time after that three minutes.

Hey, if you ever see Laughable! in game that’s me, if I can ever get in a match since they are always full.

And yeah, I only play Stopwatch right now. Ranked is fun but it takes too long between matches to be worth it right now. Obj/CMM isn’t really my cup of tea either, for a similar reason (waiting for a match and getting even less of a reward than SW because of the shorter matches). So right now I just wait for a game to get an empty slot (which can take forever) and hop in.

I only ask that SW stay alive, since it’s what I play DB for. In that vein, give some more love to the mode please. It is a core mode of the game, and I hope it doesn’t get forgotten about by SD.

AFAIR the idea is to change SW to a CMM SW once the current CMM (replacing Objective mode) has the kinks sorted out. Not sure if this will ever happen and they just change SW to CMM SW regardless. :fearful:

That’s a nice post count you have there

I doubt that it’s possible for them to make that change and keep SW players. Even if, at some point, there are no bugs, glitches, etc., in the CMM, you still have to wait for a match and all that.

I don’t think there’s any kinks that can be sorted out that will solve the problem of SW. It’s not CMM’s kinks that are the problem, it’s CMM itself. It has its perks, but I hope they keep it separate from SW entirely.

I have the same problem too. What’s worse is that they took away all of the Miami and Chicago servers so we’re left with just New York servers and one Dallas server. Just changed my search settings and apparently the Chicago and Miami servers only show up when you have “Objective” checked.

Still though, it sucks having to wait to join U.S. East servers. I wouldn’t mind seeing more Central servers because at least those give decent pings to all regions.
