US Competitive Servers Location

Why the competitive servers are in US West instead of US East?

If US East players can play the game on US West servers, why not the opposite? The reason: More players.
Here in South America per example, we can play the game with <150 ping on US East servers (Usually 120, which is nice), but on US West, the ping is >180 (Which is terrible).

If the US Competitive Server were on US East, I THINK that more players would be able to play Competitive, because I’m pretty sure that even Central America players can play without too much ping on US East as well…

Colorado, US: 60-70 ping to both, West or East.

It’s the complete opposite for me I am constantly placed in US east servers the only times I get placed in US west is when a play with a group and the main person is in East its so weird I forgot to mention that I’m in California. It isnt much of a big deal to me though because i usually have 20-30 ping US West, and in the US East servers I get a steady 100 ping.

Huh, I play US West and always end up in US East servers.

Kansas, US - 40-75 ping to either coast. Haven’t played competitive so wouldn’t know about matchmaking preferring one coast to another.
