Update sizes?

Is my game glitched or is every update so far been 1.9GB size?
every time i’ve updated dirtybomb it has been 1.9GB so is my game broken? is there any fixes? should i uninstall? or get a life?

Whats wrong with an 1.9 GB update? How much space do you have in your hard drive?

I have like 10gb anymore after last update. And everyother game has different size updates and non have been over 1gb

Apparently, how SD updates the game, if theres lets say update to couple of files in 500Mb folder, update makes you re-download the entire folder instead of just those couple of files. This is, what I’ve recalled, to make things more consistent. Less issues to happen with newer and older files interacting or something like that.

Yeah, that’s the line.

Dirty Bomb uses what are known as ‘container files’ which contain a lot of the core game files in a small number of big chunks. When an update comes out that affect 1 chunk the patch will already be several hundred mb because of the container size. Affect multiple containers and the patch size rises quickly.

The biggest argument in favor of this method of updating a program this way is that it is a ‘cleaner’ method of updating a program at the expense of being more bandwidth intensive. Basically you are less likely to get a bug with the program update that requires you to do a whole reinstall of the game(even though it feels like you are doing that each patch anyways). blah blah blah stability blah blah blah…

Anyways. Nothing wrong with you system. Functioning as designed.
