Update on Brink DLC, Title Updates, and New Screenshots

I am still confused that some people on the forum here have the balls to defend SD (& Bethesda).

That Brink is a potentially class game is true, but as many people pointed out it had major issues from the start (which is actually quite suprising as SD released the game a week early). All I want is a good working game and I hope to get it with the DLC and the patch along, but I fear that SD still will not have implemented the clan support and lobby system yet.

If I could get a decent price for returning Brink I would go back to the game store right away but as that is not the case I am hoping (not relying) that SD fixes this game.

Lets hope that Microsoft (and Sony) approve the DLC quickly

I have to say that I am doubtful that MS and Sony actually received the material when we were told they did. It doesnt take 12 days for MS to release DLC. Let me guess, Sony is waiting on MS as well? I believe we have been duped yet again. It seems crazy to take this long. Its like the co.'s dont care if this game lives or dies.

I woiuld be up MS’s ass to get this material released but thats just me.

MS can take 2-4 weeks to certify stuff. That doesn’t count the time it takes if they find a problem that has to be fixed and it then has to be sent back for re-certification. I’ve experienced this with a ton of titles. Nothing new.

agreed. they take ages. was annoying on ps3 when you are always waiting for the xbox.

the xbox might be a decent-ish machine but its holding back gaming :frowning:

If its being released as a DLC and not a patch, why would it go through the “patch approval” process?

Where is a microsoft forum that we can spam with questions about the release date? I would like to give them an eye full.

MS have been doing that for as long as I can remember. Well, gaming being just the tip of the iceberg really. In fact if you had the right equations, you’d probably find that MS is holding back the advancement and evolution of the human race :slight_smile: lol. Just look at Steve Ballmer, he’s the perfect example of the damage MS can do. He used to be a quiet, slim chap, and didn’t ever have the desire to make a fool of himself in front of embarrassed company employees. Then he met Darth Gates.

It’s not a patch approval process, it’s a release approval process. Everything that is released goes through that process. There may be differences between patches and DLC, but either way it’s still lengthy and required.

There’s actually multiple PC updates/patches included in the DLC. Most importantly the weapons tweaks. However even if it didn’t have any patches/updates just the maps, abilities, outfits, and level cap increase it still has to go through the approval process because theoretically you could make DLC level that’s a bunch of swaying dongs and MS wouldn’t be cool with that. Or whenever you use Napalm grenade the game says “F**K Yeah!” and that would actually require a rating change of the game from T to M. Or, completely unrelated to vulgarity, there’s a glitch in your level where you get to a part of a new map and the system locks up, lags out, w/e. Anyways, they want to look at what you’ve done, make sure it’s working, and make sure it fits in with their business model considering that anything released on the Live/360 Platform is going to have their name associated with it.

Feel free to go to the Xbox or MS forums and rage away. Nothing’s going to change as people have been unhappy about this and expressing it to them forever.

agreed, although win7 is a massive improvement over vista (man vista is terrible)

some of their hardware is decent, but i agree, they are the devil!

at least bill intends to give ~$20billion of his own money to charity!

Also, I kind of cringe, when people are making the DLC to be this magical incoming content that will bring Brink back from the brink of oblivion and all will be well.

DLC will be nice - but the key components well for the PC guys will still be missing…
