Update has made it so I can't play... (now I can)

(bushyg) #61

NGS is causing the frame drop issues, as said in this thread and many others. I fail to see what other information is needed. It’s clearly not pc spec related and it’s clearly obvious that it was after this recent update.

I would also like to raise that after applying “end process” to BlackCipher.aes, the ShooterGame-Shipping.exe is improved. However, DPC related calls are still there and how long I play is still a question.

EDIT:

42 minutes to get audio stutter and fps lags of 22 frames per second.

hotfix tomorrow

Well there was a security update shortly after the MOFO update so I think Raziel just wants to confirm that the MOFO update was the issue. Thing is, there’s always people who suffer some FPS problems after updates, even if they’re focused on optimization. Generally, those people have poor rigs anyways which is the root of the problem. Some people may be having problems unrelated to the anticheat which were caused by the MOFO update.

I’m pretty sure the huge FPS drops are related to the MOFO update though. As for the input lag issue, that may have been caused by the security update, but I have no idea. I didn’t play much during the span of the MOFO update and security update. D:

@Dox Did Raziel’s previous suggestions fix your input lag issue? Deleting the config folder appeared to fix mine. I might just reinstall the game to be sure though, but I haven’t really noticed any input lag since deleting the folder.

Funny, how NGS doesnt ruin the game for hackers but for ordinary players.

(doxjq) #66

I’ve had input lag ever since the mofo update, but nah, the first thing I did was delete my config files and start with new ones, and it made no difference.

The hotfix made new bugs as well

(GatoCommodore) #68

what bug was it?

(K1X455) #69

press to open playerlist, right click to activate mouse, click on player and select “View Steam Profile”. It will bring you to the “Report Violation” Dialogue.

Click on “Report Violation” and it will activate a “votekick this player” command

i think they need to lay off the grass a bit

i want to ask something, what if we de-prioritize the BlackSheeper to the very bottom of the priority list in process?

(hungryLocomotive) #72

@sweetColumn I try to change priority on blachchiper.aes but it reset always when i enter in a match

(Teflon Love) #73

I wrote a little batch script with an infinite loop to lower the priority again and again but it doesn’t seem to make much of a difference:

@echo off
:again
wmic >nul: process where name="BlackCipher.aes" call setpriority "idle"
goto again

It is quite successful at saturating one of my CPU cores though.

(hungryLocomotive) #74

@teflonlove sorry i don’t understand what i need to do

(doxjq) #75

Doesn’t work. Still get lag spikes.

(ImSploosh) #76

Yeah, the input lag is still there for me. Looks like I’ll just have to try and reinstall DB. Maybe that will fix it… :frowning:

(AlphaUT) #77

Is there any relationship between the lag that you guys talk about and the icon at mid right side screen. It seems to be server’s problem. All the players in that room have that icon no matter what ping you have. Once that icon turns red, a huge drop will occur, yet that icon also seems to be something todo with your connection or internet.

(ImSploosh) #78

Not really sure. I’ve seen it a few times lately and it’s caused me to disconnect, but then come back after 10 seconds or so. It was happening a lot last night and made it so i couldn’t really play. My internet wasn’t the issue either, but no one else in the lobby was saying anything about it so i dont know what was going on. D:

(The_N00Ba) #79

that sucks Sploosh. I hope we can all help you figure something out.
I sadly don’t got much tech skill though so I am not that much help here. :frowning:

That icon is just an indication that you are sending/receiving data on at a slower pace than what the server expects.

It’s like CS:GO’s netgraph, only shittier in all aspects. If you don’t have it, there’s no problem. If it’s amber, you have a slight latency problem. If red, Hmm… you need to connect to a much closer server.
