Just installed it. Booting up BRINK now!
Update for 360 LIVE!
Let me know. i could play but the children are watching Sponge Bob.
all the update did was install inti piracy tools so you can no longer burn discs (360 games) any longer.
though it used to work with a little tiny program… hehe but its illegal

Seriously?
Weekend is not over yet. That could have been some sort of optimization thing so that the actual patch would patch through in game later.

Bleh…don’t care for that stuff. I’d be content if I didn’t have to swap discs out for multi-disc games, despite having the entirety of the game installed on the hard drive.
Indeed, The only thing i have noticed about this patch is that i was getting into less laggy games. Still some bots none the less but alas, not the end of the week end.
The update is glorious.
Been looking at this forum for a while, and finally decided to register. In answer to the questions, I now have significantly less lag, but, more importantly 8vs8 matches. Still slowdown and the odd pingback, but it’s like a totally different game, occasional slowdown aswell, but that might be my connection. I was on the fence about this game, massively following it’s hype as it was right up my street (hate COD, love BC2) but admittedly was a bit underwhelmed with it. Played some competition mode matches, and the realised the game genuinely has loads of potential, which was what I found most annoying about it not living up to it’s hype and being buggy, was gonna trade it in if this patch didnt help, looks like I wont be doing that anymore.
i do hope this DLC will be free. or i will be freakin mad at who do u think? bethesdda? nope. Splash damage? cerinatly not. Microsoft? HELL YEAH. xbox still dont have tf2 updates cos of them money whores.
Update has not made any difference at all. It’s as broken as it was before. This update was obviously not intended to fix the lag, or SD have no idea how to fix their broken game that we all paid for.
The matchmaking is still complete garbage.
I don’t want to play with bots, why on earth can’t i have the choice not to?
SD have a liong way to go before this game is at the standard it should be.
SD made Brink, not Microsoft. If you want to blame anyone for this game’s dreadful state then blame the people that made it.

You can play Competitive mode in freeplay with no bots so try that chap.
I’m getting a refund on this. There’s no way this game is in any fit state to play, patch or no patch.
Still lags.
And I shouldn’t have to play 5v5 either.
The game advertises 8v8 and SD couldn’t even get that to work. BFBC2 is 12v12 across enormous maps with tanks and helicopters and destructible scenery. Brink shouldn’t be anywhere near this unstable. Unacceptable.
Now we’ll have all the yesmen and fanboys raving about how the game has suddenly been fixed and SD are the best developers in the world. What a joke.
