Unpacking .pk3 files

Real dumb question here. I see a lot of threads talking about unpacking the pak0.pk3 file in the etmain directory. How do I do that? I can’t find anything that tells me how this is done.

rename it from .pk3 to .zip
Make sure to unzip it with folders enabled though.

Theres no need to change the name, just open the file with winzip.

most good unzip programs can unzip those pk3s without renaming
so i dunno which stupid program your using
