Ah right, sure in between games should be changeable.
It also depends on how the ranked matches are supposed to be played. Right now it’s just the conventional ‘churn through maplists on a server’ fps setting.
But if you want ranked games to mean anything then the sessions should be isolated events rather than a constantly on-going affair.
That means:
- You (or your group) are in the game menu
- You select ‘enter game’ to join the qeue
- You’re selected with a group of others (based on matchmaking ELO) to play the stopwatch (or ADDA maybe)
- You play the game
- You win or lose the session
- The session is disbanded and you (or your group) are back in the game menu again
This is how MOBAS and WOT and RTS games do their ranked ladders and this how they can cater to a 24/7 competitive league play.
Any other option is severely watering down the meaning of ranked ladders. You simply can’t hold a meaningful ladder competition by sticking to one server where people are dropping in and out.
