ungroup a func_group

(Teuthis) #1

I have a set_brushmodel null Problem, likely caused by a corrupted brush an a func_Group (because all I changed was some func_Groups). any Chance I can ungroup the entities?

look for an origin brush not connected

didn’t Change the origins but placed many func_Groups. but will check ASAP.

actually I found how to ungroup the entities

I have a strange Problem. After modifying Teuthonia I got a setbrushmodel null error. All I did so far was adding some models and making a tunnel with some func_Group entities.

According to my understanding a setbrushmodel null can have several reasons:

1.) a bad brush in a func_Group. So I ungrouped all new func_Group entities. Error message persists.
2.) a Phantom brush. So I made a big brush around my map, inverted all stuff inside and saved as a new map. Error persists
3.) an unconnected origin brush. So I made a brush with an origin, used shift + A to Highlight all origin brushes, then ‘I’ to invert and the ‘H’ to hide everything except my origin brushes. they are all correct. Error persists
4.) finally I went back to a safety copy of my map file from August 3 (the exact map file I compiled for the first release of teuthonia). compiled and Error persists
5.) at this Point I thought the Radiant is going nuts and used a tiny map I made for testing the blending. Here the error is not present.

I have no clue what to do next. Anyone has an idea?

Also check if any trigger brush was ungrouped

I fixed it by Going back to a 2day Old Backup and copy/Pasted all changes from the damaged Map. Good to make frequent Backups
