Undo Blishlok Nerf

(Ardez1) #1

So you may not be aware, but at one point the blishlok was considered to be too powerful by the devs because it had higher echo stats than other SMGs. To balance this they nerfed the accuracy of the weapon. Now, if you have used the Blishlok you know that is has a slow RoF, but decent base damage. The problem you may have had, like many others, is that aiming for HS is very erratic and not consistent compared to the other SMGs. In any scenario you want to use the Kek or Crotzni before you even think about the Blishlok.

Well, they nerfed it too hard. Rather than nerfing base dmg, they made it so the SMG can’t reliably get HS, which tossed it right out the door with ranked/comp. Before the gun required some skill to use well, and now nobody with skill will touch it due to the combined factors of recoil and weapon spread.

~ Please undo the previous nerf and find another away to nerf the gun that doesn’t remove it from usefulness.

(Also, get rid of that god awful aiming reticle when you scope in with it. I would honestly rather get ironsights than the giant glowing dot.)

Any thoughts on this/suggestions?

Thanks!

please stop nerfing accuracy, inconsistent weapons are no fun to use in a fast paced shooter like this in my opinion

I agree. After the patch I tried using it and at first I thought they messed up the hitreg or something because it seemed like only the first one or two shots were landing but then I realized they just ruined the gun’s accuracy.

I don’t mind the reticule but they really need to increase the resolution of it. At the moment it looks like someone smeared vaseline all over the optic.

Honestly, I never thought it was overpowered. Even in competitive matches there were plenty of people using other smgs like the crotzni. In my opinion, the blishlok more than any other smg deserves to be the most powerful since its relatively low ROF makes it much less forgiving than any other smg.

Totally agree with this. Instead of nerfing accuracy, nerf the damage, ROF, damage dropoff, magazine size, reload time, or anything else that results in a consistent performance change.

I think an interesting way to “balance” the blishlok would be to return its accuracy but nerf its base damage so it takes an additional body shot to kill with it and to increase it’s headshot multiplier slightly so it has the same TTK to the head that it currently has.

This may actually explain why I struggle so hard to hit anything with the Blishlok while I have no problems with any other SMG. The fun part is that the blishlok is not even the biggest DPS among SMGs (just sitting at the 3rd place, and pretty close to the SMG 9).

Low RoF is already pretty annoying when someone manage to pass his head between two bullets. If you also give it low accuracy, it’s overkill. No matter how much damage you deal with one bullet : this does not do everything.

Yep, statistically, there’s pretty much no reason to use the blishlok now. Low DPS at all ranges, low rof making it more difficult to kill players that are AD spamming, and low accuracy. I have no idea how the devs thought this would be balanced.

Agreed, the point of the game Dirty Bomb is to grant you with 0 recoil on guns but have fast movement in game, testing your tracking skills, but Blishlok is completely outta that state.

That sight on the Blishlok prevents me from using that gun. It’s horrid. Way too big and with the accuracy nerf I cringe every time I receive a loadout card with it.

Let’s hope for a Blishlok rebalance soon. I do hope that weapon will go back to its past glory.

I would love to see it become a little more accurate, until then though I’m still going to be using it. I know it can do well, when I aim properly. It’s damage is massive. Running it on Aura and Bushwacker for the moment.
