Great help. I was just about to buy the control turret but now I realize the downside of it.

It would be cool if you would do the same for the universal abilities though…

Control turret is Bad, it lags(on purpous) and is just full of fail, its 2040 why does it look like an 1960s tv.

Not a problem. I may do another video looking at the universal abilities, it depends on what kind of feedback I get for this video. Thanks for the suggestion.

I think kevlar is 20% reduction, not 10. Have you tested it?

Also, maybe worth mentioning that extra kevlar on a soldier with kevlar vest only gives half effect

I was sure that you could NOT kevlar buff a soldier who already had the soldier kevlar ability.
Also…

@OP
What’s this about the control turret ability? I can’t watch the video at work, so I don’t know, but it seems that you’ve implied that it’s useless… I’ve seen teammates make ample use of the ability. In fact, for example, when security goes on hard defense for the delivery obejective at the lab on Security Tower (or whatever level it is) having two or three Ops manning two or three gatling turrets always translates into an impenatrable wall for the attackers, when you add in the defense actions of the other 5 teammates. Furthermore, I’ve seen on Ops controled gatling turret shut down the security forces at the entry gate on container city numerous times. Just sayin…

Great video :slight_smile:
General skills would have been nice to have as well.

Nice video, thank you !

Useful before choosing abilities. Also, can help to educate new players, because I feel there is a lack of education /training / tutorials, that should have been maybe more present on a game that has different gameplay aspects than usual popular FPS titles.

Keep up the good community work :infiltrator:

Thanks for all the support guys! It’s certainly appreciated.

@Smokeskin I’m not absolutely certain. I’ve read 10% in a couple of forum posts and the tooltip does say “small amount”, but I haven’t found anything definite. However the point you mentioned about soldiers receiving 50% of the buff on top of their own kevlar is worth mentioning - I’m going to add an annotation to that part of the video.

@General Techniq I don’t rate Control Turret personally. You’re sacrificing the use of your own weapon, movement, and combat abilities to make the turret more effective. If you don’t take direct control of the turret, it will still be useful (if positioned correctly) and you can throw caltrops, sticky bombs and use your own formidable firepower. I imagine some players do make good use of them but I’d much rather have the freedom to move around and contribute in different ways.

“The Brink Prima Strategy guide has the value for kevlar listed as a 10% damage reduction. For the weapon buff, it starts off with an 18% increase to damage and when you upgrade into improved weapon buff, it increases to 31%. This is all from the Brink Prima Strategy guide.”

Can anyone with the guide confirm?
