Two Mercs that needs fixing

(Syncfx) #1

Nader:

  • Spamming of Grenade Launcher is annoying
  • Who thought dropping a nade upon death that explodes immediately was a good idea? Let alone the fact that you can choose when to drop. It just needs to go.

Thunder:

  • Far too much HP + healing circle = not killable unless 3+ shooting at once.

All I got so far.

Nader:

  • You cant spam the Grenade Launcher, because it needs to charge b4 u can shoot again.
  • When u are downed with this character you can already choose when to throw the marydom.

Thunder:

  • Hp is super high because movement speed is way lower than other characters and the weapons they start with is way weaker than the other guns are.
  • Aim for the head, he is slow enough to take your time.

Nader’s martyrdom is not “op”, as you think. In my opinion it’s a tiny bit weaker than it should be, but I only played with her for a couple of matches!

Martyrdom will be annoying for a few games, until you learn to stay away from freshly downed bodies. It would not surprise me that being new to the game, brain’s processing power cannot distinguish mercs on the ground, etc.

I barely ever see experienced players get killed by martyrdom.

Experience will play a large role in combating these concerns.

I was on the same wavelength at first… but lowered my head and trained myself to recognize.

There is always a way to take down each merc… you just have to realize who you’re about to battle and how your merc can easily take down their merc.

Szakalot is right… it will come with time.

EDIT: Also… make sure you have a balanced loadout of mercs ready to go and constantly merc-swap to help with whatever stage your on and whatever enemies are out there…

switching from Merc#1 to Merc#2 can change your success rate in the right circumstances… you just have to play enough to recognize when that time is.

I lol’d.
I can understand nader, only because it’s irritating until you understand why it HAS to exist, but Thunder? Thunder is easily one of the weaker mercs at the moment, simply because he’s slightly undergunned in a straight slugging match and the flashbangs are freakishly easy to avoid or see through if the hit isn’t absolutely perfect.

There are simple ways to deal with these; Nader’s grenade launcher has 6 grenades and seperate cooldowns for each one so you could complain about someone spamming 6 shots in a matter of seconds but after that, no more grenades for at least 30 seconds, They COULD replace her grenade launcher, turning it into a primary weapon but imagine some actual teamwork where someone drops ammo for Nader every other second or worse an ammo station, which would be a complete pain unless reloading took a while. martyrdom isn’t instant and it can be easily solved by not saying “Hey, its that one character with a bandana and grenades strapped all around her body, better walk up to her to execute her” and shoot Nader from a distance. Theres a REALLY good reason as to why each character has easily identifiable designs.

Thunder is very slow, and his default lmg is rather lack luster, and if memory serves correctly player characters take about five times as much damage from headshots.
