Tweak for Mouse Movement

Not sure how many of you may already use this tweak. Since DB is using UE3 you are able to switch the games FOV parameters from Horizontal to Vertical FOV. Currently DB is using Horizontal. I’ve found that switching to Vertical FOV seems to solve the floating mouse issue and ADS feels much better.

To test for yourself go to: Nexon/Library/extraction/appdata/Engine/config/BaseEngine
Use “find” to locate “AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainXFOV”
and change the “X” to “Y” so it looks like:
AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV

Now with Vertical FOV your going to have a tunnel vision fov, and renders more of the map. Here is and example of Horizontal FOV vs Vertical FOV at 90FOV.

Horizontal @90

Vertical @90

This actually removes the zoom on the sniper rifles also so gives a little bit to much of an advantage.

Also, as someone that is suffering greatly from he mouse issues in XT due to UE3 I have to say I did not really notice any improvement using this command.

Any affect on fps? (since it draws more I’d expect even more dipping)

not really any effect…
Extraction has poor CPU optimisation really… All my FPS issues only happen when more people connect to a server. Get very little difference in fps from low to max graphics. So I would assume for most people (like it was for me) not to have an effect :slight_smile:

Mangosteez you are only allowed to upload screenshots via the forum intern method (click on the picture symbol and choose “From Computer”). No extern filehoster! So please delete them.

I tried it out and it seemed to be very choppy to me. Not sure if the fps dips were fov setting related (drawing more), or patch related.
