It sounds a lot like a bug, friend. He’s not supposed to be usable in ranked until S4 if I remember that correctly.

I mean you could technically have Turtle equipped already in your squad prior to the ranked lobby. I never tried but I guess you can use him in game with that?

Nope. The game chooses a random merc (I believe it is random atleast) equip his default card and switch Turtle with the random merc.

Well IMO that’s probably the closest way to use Turtle in ranked. It may bug sometimes and allow him to be used.

How many rated have you done since then? You can look up a certain amount of previous matches if you haven’t done to many after it.

maybe if someone ‘reconnected’ to a game before the lobby forced the turtle off the squad?
Imo just add turtle to ranked, its really silly he wasnt added straight away, ranked isnt some mlg ladder
