i dont like the turrets.why must nowdays in every game the engi have a turret?
in tf2 it works fine, but in db its in my eyes displaced.

Agree in the sense that they are way too fast to put down. I would prefer if all engy items would require the old arming with pliers, because now they are almost as effective in offense as they are in defense. Just rush, drop and forget.

I like turrets. In TF2 it worked, in ETQW it worked, and it works in DB.

i think that the turrets are fine. okay theyre doing a lot of damage but they need some time to lock you and you only need a few shots to destroy them so its ok i think

The turrets are underpowered if anything. Way to easy to takedown

I stopped playing ET:QW after only a few weeks mostly because of the turrets. I play First-Person-Shooters to shoot people, not lay down some kit to shoot people for me. When I learned DB had turrets I almost didn’t pay to get in the Alpha. As I have more money than sense I did anyway, and am glad I did because thankfully the turrets in this game are rubbish, and long may they remain so. :slight_smile:

Turrets are Ok as they are, they are no so lethal like ETQW but you can use them in the interiors.

show some turret love. they are great. perfect at the moment.
an xp upgrade so they are disguised as a bush wherever you planted them would be great.

Turrets are good now as they are, a reasonable deterrent (they were pretty OP in the original build) but easy to take down if you can around them (bush issues aside :))

How about change turret style into Deployable MG?
If enemy damage you can either repair it or take it back to your backpack.

If you take back to your backpack damage MG you’ll need to deploy it and repair it.

It would be more like Deployable MG rather than Sentry

ok looks like its my personally opinion :slight_smile: only(et player),like above said by kendle ,i prefer too the skilled way to kill someon.maybe there should be hitsounds for hitting them .

I mean I’m fine with turrets as they are now, but I just think they don’t really fit the engy, who according to Anti is supposed to be more defensive guy. If they needed to be armed with pliers for couple seconds, they wouldn’t be used on offense that much. And yes, separate hitsound for turrets and EV and things would be nice

seriously? 5.3 hours of TF2 played and you know how turrets worked in tf2?! people cry a lot about turrets in TF2. especially about those mini-sentries, which are almost identical to what we have in DB.(and restricted in comp)

Anyway. I dont see a big problem with turrets for myself; they are a little bugged but actually are no big harm unless they are in some grass where you cannot shoot them for some reason…

remove the turrets! why not add a aimbot - its pretty the same: you get kills and points and u do NOTHING for it. -.-
the player should kill other players with his AIM - not with an tool with intigrated aimbot …

if the turrets will stay in the game, let them as they are now: easy and fast to destroy!

I don’t like turrets either, but I think it’s mostly because how bugged they are to take down. Sometimes you only need a few shots and they’re down, while other times you can shoot almost a whole magazine and the stupid thing will just stand there and gun you down.

Turrets are too weak at the moment (HP). I suggest to increase HP slightly and in order to decrease their usability in offense - implement a delay in placement after it was initiated (like in ETQW). There it took time for them to get deployed from the sky, but in DB one could implement a self-deploying robotic turret which takes, say, 10 seconds to bult itself after an engie deployed a formless turret-kit.

Beef up turrets, give them prominence on minimap, give one class a hard counter, and others a soft.

If they are in the game, make them part of the game!
