Turning off player arrows and health bars

(Edzer) #1

Is this possible? I personally feel like this is more distracting than anything else in the game.

(pnellesen) #2

sooooo… Safe to say you’ve never played a medic then?

(Edzer) #3

I did, but maining fragger nader & vassili makes me want to remove them. I’m not asking for a permanent remove either, I’m asking if there is any command you can enter into your console to temporary turn it off.

(Jostabeere) #4

2 enemies charging at you. 1 has low health, 1 had half health. If you see bars, you shoot low-health and kill him, then kill second before they get you. Without healthbars you aim at the wrong and they kill you. Healthbars on enemies are vital.

(pnellesen) #5

As far as I know there isn’t any way to do this (apologies for my first, “somewhat” unhelpful response…)

(RuleofBooKz) #6

can u see enemy health bars? im not sure if ive noticed?

(Amerika) #7

Yup, you can see enemy health bars. And seeing them is pretty key in figuring out who to kill IMO. With that said, I am not sure there is a way to turn them off. There might be hidden somewhere but I’ve not heard of anybody doing it thus far.

(Vampwood) #8

There is likely a way to do this, you’d do this by editing the shooterui.ini line

[ShooterGame.SGUIHUDIFFObjectEnemy]
m_PrimaryColor=(R=240,G=0,B=0,A=255) and change it to this.

[ShooterGame.SGUIHUDIFFObjectEnemy]
m_PrimaryColor=(R=240,G=0,B=0,A=0) This will turn off all names, bars and arrows, so I’m not sure why you’d do this.

(RuleofBooKz) #9

maybe for making a theatrical cinematic vid?

(Amerika) #10

Yeah, that would be a good use for it. Of course you’d probably want demos to be working before you tried to create a cinematic vid…so hopefully that’s done around the same time as they get in-game reporting put into the game.

Mind if I asked what the “A” stands for in the line, Is it something like opacity?

(Snark) #12

I assume it’s alpha.

(Edzer) #13

So if I’d lower it to let’s say 100 they would still be there but less visible yes?

(Vampwood) #14

Yes A stands for Alpha, this is for enemies, theres a similar line for allies if you want to change them as well.

If you lowered it to 100 it would be semi transparent.
