Turning in the game causing major FPS drops since the patch of 22th of July.

Before the latest patch I was already experiencing performance issues, having 80-130ish FPS without one frame delay turned on. However since the latest patch, turning in the game causes FPS drops relative to the amount of degrees turned, ending up with my FPS falling from 200+ to 40 during a gunfight even with one frame delay turned on. Pre-patch I didn’t experience drops such as this even with one frame delay turned off.

PC specs:
Gtx 970, i7-3930k@4,2GHz, 16Gb DDR3 ram, Win7 Pro.

I’ve tried just about every config out there & tried to make a whole new fresh one yet no luck.
All in all the performance was unacceptably bad for such hardware already pre-patch but now the game is completely unplayable. Needless to say this is the only game I’m having performance issues in.

Magical solutions are appreciated.

Interesting… Have you tried without the minimap (“hudturnoff minimap”)?

Yes, I’ve got it bound to weaponswitch.

Turn oneframelag on??? I have mine off because I have no problem running this game at 145 frames steady…

I already stated on the first post that I’ve got it on.

Thank you OP! I´ll have to check if my FPS Problem (http://forums.warchest.com/showthread.php/45656-CPU-usage-goes-up-to-99-after-30min-in-game-gt-awful-lags-gt-restart-only-option) could be related to turning around as well…

Best regards

phila

P.S.: Had no Problems before the Phantom Patch
