Turning "Gallery" into a Gallery

So I was playing on Gallery yesterday with meh buddies and I got this random idea…what if they had peoples dirty bomb fan art on the walls of Gallery? Instead of just generic paintings I thought that would be a pretty cool idea. What do yall think?

Wouldn’t it be weird if a location in a destroyed London would have paintings of mercenaries who were hired after the accidents in the said location?

You want to fill up the map with DB memes and what not of the community art? I have yet to see someone do something legitimate that you call “art” and not be fletcherize this and fletcherize that for the most part. I’m not dissing anyone, just mean there is a difference to being done by professionals and the community.

And more often than not, I think the map won’t have much paintings to begin with, could be just a little bit of textures to exaggerate and most of the sections being concrete and brick and rust etc.

There was a Sparks Fanart Contest a while back. There was some good stuff there!

I like the idea of community art being used, but it’d feel REALLY weird to have your own stuff in a video game like that.

BUT, I’d really prefer if Gallery went the Jackal route of vandalizing the gallery art:

  • drawing mustaches on sculptures
  • comic bubbles reminding you to drop ammo
  • Thunder replacing the faces of a painting to have him covered in medics
  • the mercs venting via vandalism and getting creative
  • finding this on a wall:

  • “draWn by phAnto m. age 28.”

Plus it’ll add a whole lot of character to the mercs that their bios and dialogue don’t do.
