I’m trying to get my head around the merc card system (new player )
why can’t i play Vassili to day when i played him yesterday, he’s greyed out and i can’t add him to pack.

Because he is no longer in free rotation.
Free Rotation gives you 3 Mercs to try out.
You always have Aura and Skyhammer.

With you always have Aura and Skyhammer i mean, they always addable, and then there is free Rotation, with 3 other Mercs, You can see who is on free Rotation. They have a clock Symbol in their Picture.

I did wonder what that symbol meant, as for vassili when will i get to play him again, because since i’ve been playing i have got 5 cards of him.

New rotation every 2 weeks, 3 mercs per rotation, 13 mercs and counting, I would say 6-8 weeks before Vas is back in, maybe a bit more if they add new mercs regularly in the interim.

Or you could unlock him for 30K credits…

So even though i’ve got 5 cards of him i still need to pay to unlock him permenent, that just don’t seem right, i’m not gonna do that i’ll keep playing my gold skyhammer.

And further more no matter how many cards of mercs i’ve got i still need to pay to unlock them ??
that seems a bit harsh.

Yes. It’s how the shop model is. It’s not the best but it’s better than having exclusive pay to win 1 shot 1 kill weapons.

The grind isn’t hard. Doing missions are simple and straightforward. Try hard and you’ll get it easily. It takes about 3 days to get 50k.

I would say it is a fair system, and it is possible you haven’t played many F2P games before. Just play, grind, have fun, then buy Vassili.

If you stop spending money on trading up loadouts ( assuming you have been doing that ), you do your missions when they come up, and you get all the daily bonuses, you should be able to unlock Vassili in about 6 days of play ( 1 - 2 hours per day ).

If you can’t play every day, or you can’t finish your missions in time, be sure to delete the really time-consuming ones ( like Waterboy for 500 credits - no reason to keep that around ).

i only played two matches and got 16k so it’s not really a grind because i’m enjoying it, i played a lot of the original CS and this game reminds me of it.

Yeah but the Moneys Income will decrease very fast, because for every level you gain extra credits and the higher you get the rarer are the levels
