Truck with Mounted Gun

I want to create a truck with a mounted gun on top of it and the truck’s working quite well yet (simply copied the one used in goldrush), but I’m simply unable to make this mg42, i created by checking the mounted_gun spawnflag of my truck script_mover, spawn on top of the driver’s cabin; it always spawns at the origin brush behind the truck and i can’t use it.

Any ideas on how to make it work correctly?

I thought moving the origin brush could work, but I believe the model is attached to the origin brush.
That would result in something weird: the truck model hangs in the air and the clip brushes are still on the ground.

yes, exactely that happened when i tried it out this morning, i simply forgot to mention it …
i suppose u can change sth with the tagent key (Radiant description: tagent: Target entity a mounted gun will be attached to), but i dont know how to use it.

A quick and dirty method would be to make a copy of the truck model, and modify it so the origin lies on top of the drivers cabin.
Some problems may arise from that though: you might need to move all the misc_vis_dummy entities and you would need to align the origin brush of the truck script_mover with the new truck model’s origin.

you should tell me first how to enable the mg42 i cant use it when imm near.

just a trigger brush added to the script mover? <-- tried it out, didnt work

For those interested: it is possible to fix an MG42 to a truck without modelling.
I got it working in a testmap, once it’s tested in a big map I’ll post the exact steps.

When I fitted 2 MGs to LCVPs (boats) I made a model specifically for an MG.
I mad them into script movers and attached them to the boat script mover.
They worked, but there were bugs because there were more than one in the map.
