Truck Prefab Needed!!!

Anyone have this or know where to get it? Ive spent the better part of 3 days trying to get one made/use the one from Goldrush and to no luck.

I cant offer much but I can offer help with your map or a prefab of another sort. Maybe even some terrain work… Id like to have a working truck with two dyno barriers. Nothing more nothing less…

Thats a nice truck… but what I was hoping for was a prefab of one thats scripted :stuck_out_tongue:

Ive made my head hurt trying to figure out the one from goldrush… and have not successfully got it to work in a box map. :frowning:

What kind of truck prefab do you want?

start disabled?
build to steal?
damageable during escourt?

I got the truck from goldrush for bremen. Hardest part was changing it so it could be built once, then invincible.

Naming all the splines sucks too :<

didnt i upload one on your site?
it has 30 spline points, ripped from grush, you only need to build your barrier and in it set the accum
has same obj as grush. damageable. but repair to steal… i think you should see it in radiant, the constructible thing, it has spawnflag start_built
edit: i think something was missing in the grush given with radiant, maybe it was the func_constructible or sth… that reminds me, i fixed that in my map not the prefab xD… wait a sec…

edit2:k i upped it on your site, the tank had a yellow brush entity func_constructible but the truck didnt, so i added it myself, and it should work as in me and constras map it does

so you have put it into a test map and tested to verify it? I just have wasted so much time trying to get this to work im not wanting to try to debug someone elses… hehe So when you make a prefab and call it working, you need to make sure that it really does work.

Ill check it out tonight… and let you know… maybe even finish it to have more splines and the barriers.

ok ive taken what you had… added 65 splines… fixed the script some… still a little more to do. When i have it finished I will post it here as a prefab!!

btw where did that goldrush map what came with radiant actually come from.
it is not the real goldrush source, decompile?
that nodraw nonsolid brush that was a dummy to give the script some info when the truck is repaired is not in that goldrush map. i spent 10min and then it hit me, i had a tank with one but a truck with none, well when i compiled the original it said that the TOI didnt have a target to be linked to.

The Goldrush map supplied with GTKRadiant is supposed to be the real thing.

well maybe, iv never compiled that one, but the dummy brush for construction is NOT in the map, if it was it should have a line from the toi to somewhere. i thought it was the real one til then.

And where was this “dummy brush” supposed to be then?
Maybe you just failed to spot some clip brush?

i just found it, lol how could i miss it, the dummy brush is so far from the truck(up the foward spawn, in an empty place) that i didnt look so far, and somehow i missed the line that went there(well the map is so colourful its not hard to miss it)

well, a truck prefab is needed with:
barrier(s)
working script
named spline points (atleast 30)
and if it would be placed into a nice compiled map it would be excellent

does urs have it?

nope… his doesnt, just a bsp, map file and screenshot. This wouldnt be a prefab other than it being clipped or something…
