Yes, there will be a timer.
It will show you how much time is left until you unlock the next trinket.
To unlock all three trinkets you need a total in-match spent play time of 60 hours.

Yes, this has already been answered several times! There will be a counter/timer in the root of the menu (main screen) for you to see your progress.
