Trick Jumps

‘Trickjumped’ up to this window in Reactor thinking it’d be really useful for opening the bridge door. Unfortunately it seems you can’t climb through it even though you can reach it =[

Feel free to post any trick jumps you’ve found that work or seems like they don’t work but should [hey, maybe they’ll get patched =D ]

I tried exactly this but could never make it. It seemed like you could kickjump yourself up to the ledge leading to the window, but you fall right through… How did you do it?

Here’s an ongoing list of light only places. Some of them are very fun to get to. Some shave off a lot of time. And others will catch the opposing team way off guard.

It’s stuff like this that really irks me. The SMART system is ripe for some very creative flanking/short cut/alternate route possibilities and it seems they really haven’t exploited it’s potential.

I’m hoping new maps will take this feedback into consideration as I’ve read it all over the net.

Thing is… if you spend any time doing anything other than objectives… your team will probably lose… this game is badly thought out… for a game with parkour the maps and gametypes are just wrong…

Not exactly true, for example. After 2 hard jumps with a light body type you can get on top of the wall in crate city that security has to blow up. You can put a lot of pressure on from up there. On the same map theres a route where a security engineer can get on top of the crane usually avoiding any of the opposing players.

There are also many places that can shave lots of travel time off if you get the jumping right. Getting this head start back to the front line, or to that mid map objective can be vital.

I still have to figure most things out with the light guy, but a really nice map to have it, is the one where you defend the gates with that robot rolling up to the main gate…still need to learn level names…as resistance.
I was a medic and able to get through the whole map in seconds to revive my people on the other side, with wallljumping…felt like a hunter in Left 4 Dead.

Also if you get the walljumping down, you can cover mad ground, jumping over and behind enemies, shooting them in their flanks and sliding off into safety

If you look closely, SMART offers an array of fun ways to flank and play.

I recently discovered how to wall hop. You have no idea how fun it is to hop off of a wall from behind cover and dome and enemy with your pistol.

I’ve also noticed some neat ways to get to previously immountable locations.

I think the issue is that SMART isn’t all purpose; its default easy mode is simply to get you over a few obstacles and allow you to keep shooting, but for real maneuvers, you have to actually work with the system.

Jumped on the wall on the right over the railing, hit the window’s wall and fell.
