one of the best ET maps but still unplayable on NQ servers cuz the hunkmegs problems

did some of you are in contacts with the maps designers who made the map?

will be great if we could got the source code and fix this hunkmegs problems

what are you talking about? i’ve been playing this map on NQ server with 46 players…

dont sure but all the guys or had their hunkmegs updated for 128 or the others been kicked with hunkmegs problems cuz most people don’t know how to raise the hunkmegs

Put this file serverside in your etmian directory (so not in your mod directory!)

This file increase the memory usage of the game: 128MB instead of 56 MB. This help a little prevent the hunkmegs problem

yes Molotov i know this pk3 : i asked some months ago the NQ team about that and it seems when u load an other map it stops to work but not sure for that so i will ask them again

put in MOTD message to change their com_hunkmegs… ET is too old for default settings and there aren’y many newbies. simply, if they won’t change it, they won’t play.

hehe we added this message since we run our NQ server and thats is since this awesome mod is out

IMHO there should be a ET patch that makes the hunkmegs higher… a lot of great maps have too high hunkmegs… like bridges had in the beta at least - http://returntocastlewolfenstein.filefront.com/file/Bridges;57875 - it’s really a masterpiece!

Hm, this file increase the hunkmegs setting client side (for the players). If they DL-ed this file in the etmain directory and next time they start the game their hunkmegs setting will be 128 MB.
Its not depending with which map you play.

If the server is set to ‘pure’ then only the server pk3’s will be loaded at the client side. That means that your hunkmsg pk3 thingie isn’t getting loaded if the server doesn’t have it. That’s why you have to set the hunkmegs with the cvar.

The file must have in your etmain directory. If the server admin put the file serverside too, she/he forced that players must download the file.

If u once u have this file in your etmain directory, your game -as player, client side) will start with higher hunkgmegs no matter wich server you play. Its like an other settings, no matter wich file have on the server your screen resolution will be always the same, not depending of the server.
