Nice, I’ll check those out Firefly.
Are any experienced mappers actually staying on to do maps for ET?
How about you do one for me as a going away present?
lol

- Re: your iron door. Is it a door_rotating or a script_mover?
I managed to fix it, but it’s weird: I had enabled the ‘force’ flag ( door opens even if blocked ). After I disabled that flag the door works fine. This just might have something to do with the fact that the gate is made from several brushes instead of one single brush you would normally use for creating a door… but that’s just a wild guess.
anyway it works now

lol, don’t worry, there are still many, many mappers out there that will create some great maps for Enemy Territory.
WhosGaming (64-player) also has it in rotation. So far I have mixed feelings about it. It seems a little too easy for allies, so you should do something like Torchy said. Otherwise, it’s not too shabby at all. It doesn’t seem to exhibit exorbitant lag like other open maps. It’s just a little too small for my taste. The spawns would probably be better off separate and a lot bigger.
It really depends on who is the target audience. Few maps are designed to cater to 64-player servers and even fewer handle 64-players well (gameplay, flow, as well as FPS). I can only think of a handful of maps that do large servers really well.
As far as being too easy for the allies and on the smallish size, if the map is designed for Stopwatch play, this is exactly what is needed. If it’s designed for campaign play, the you could be right.
