well, this is another “i release the first ET custom map as fast as i can”-map!
the leveldesign is boring, textures are not good used…
this map gets a 0 of 10 from me.
sorry but its just because, maps should make fun and should look realistik, like this one does NOT! :moo:

BXpress - your level of criticism gets 0 out 10 from me, if you are going to take the time to post a message, why not suggest what you think could be done to improve the map, not just slag it off in a simplisitic manner?

hehehe I agree with you JoeMo
I think Sock stated all the flaws of trainyard and I’ve learnt a lot out of this. I’m working on a map pack now and I’ve already got the map fully working, no apparent bugs, real dynamitable objectives, a command post, healt & ammo racks & I’m now working on constructibles…
I’ll be posting screenshots toon :beer:
Thanks to those who sent feedback for trainyard, it helped he notice all those little points that musn’t be missed out :drink:

Your opinion might be welcome, but, without specifics that brought you to this opinion, you leave yourself open to people looking for what you really mean. I’ve seen some of your other vauge opinions before (ie Rhine), then I find out your a mapper and have are creating your own maps (ie another Bridge), :disgust: so now I ponder what you really mean.

Lets switch places for a minute, you’ve just released your first ET map, you post here, and wait for feedback. Peeps just say, I don’t like your map and I won’t post it to my server. Now you waste your time trying to figure out what you can do to get your maps accepted, instead of making the changes that users want and moving on and doing the reaserch for your next map, that from what I can tell from looking at your site, is one of the values you add to the community.

I look forward to see your maps and hope that peeps don’t return the favor of your feedback.

k, so you want to know, what Marko should work on?

  • the gangways are too boring. They look like done without any trouble.
  • The main “Trainyard” looks okay. But im missing much Detail!
  • the commandmap… dont have to say something about this :wink:
  • you lose the overview about that map too fast because everything looks same!
  • ok its big, thats nice but i depend on: quality instead of quantity!

I agree with all you points, and especially the two I quoted, I like to KNOW the map I’m on, and where I am at all times, this is difficult with this map, atvantage other team.
