In short, I planted the bomb and was guarding it. Two Aura’s ran in to defuse it, so I ran in there, threw a nuclear pancake at them, pushed mouse1 to shoot it, and for some weird reason my character decided to try and start planting another bomb when I pushed mouse1 instead - Even though my other bomb was still there and active.
Not entirely sure why this happened, because my plant key is not mouse1.
That’s probably Karma for using proxy.

My best guess, is that the Defuse tool works the same way as an ability (Where you Equip the Gadget, and then fire with the attack key), in this case, Unlike Enemy Territory, the defuse tool works exclusively with this “Quick Action” bind.
And for some reason, the game automatically equipped the Defuse tool for you, and since you we’re firing, it started the defusing.
I get what you mean, that used to happen in Dirty Bomb, but not anymore.
I planted the first bomb. When I tried to kill the two people trying to defuse my first bomb, I started planting another bomb.
The game was trying to let me plant two bombs is basically the tl;dr version.
