Trainyard needs to be balanced more. Too easy for defense team on final mission.

I can’t really put my finger on why, but the final mission in Trainyard just seems kinda unbalanced in favor for the defense team. I’ve been on both sides of this map MANY MANY times and I almost always win when on the defense team and usually lose on the attacking team.

I mean, I’ve had tons of games where it was a full lobby from the start, we’ve plowed through the first 2 objectives like they were nothing but weren’t able to complete the third in the HUGE amount of time we were given.

Likewise, I’ve been on the other end of that too, where the other team completely destroyed us on the first 2 objectives but we managed to hold them off for the last one.

I think it’s because the attacking team starts so far away from the objective, like, really far away while the defending team spawns almost right at it but I’m not sure.

I just feel like this map needs some kind of balancing.

I think the objective needs moving to the far right hand corner of the sqaure (coming out from the attackers exit) and a path block between that and the objective. As you say it is very easy for the attackers to dash in and out and defend if the attacking team have been so stupid as to plant on easy side first.

I think the left wall to the helipad should be removed so the MG nest can actually cover the entire objective dropoff. As it is, it’s only really useful to defend with.

If you’re having problems on the last stage you’re not coordinating enough. The reason it seems harder is because you get strung out between spawn and the objective while defenders are a 7 second run from spawn.

You clear out defenders, then hold the area while your fastest/most recently dead merc brings home the last bacon.

Nooooooo. the defending team would just put a person on the mg and one or two people to protect that person and the stage would be even harder to take. They already have the bridge for snipers and the building for assault classes; as is they still have to put a few people in the helipad so they don’t get back capped, spreading out their defense (somewhat, they are still relatively close together). this would push up their defense where the attackers have less routes to flank.
