Training mode.

So the other day I thought about ways to improve my aim and decided that one of the things the SD should add to DB is a training mode. maybe have people fight against bots (no score) or have one of these training maps that other shooters have. I think it’ll be a great edition.

Isn’t that what “Quick join” is for?

(Nail) #3

nope, “Execution” is training mode

(Kroad) #4

maybe they could just add 16 man FFA on execution maps

oh no sorry we are splash damage and we only make objective based gamemodes

(RedJets) #5

I agree with OP, I would like to be able to just play maps in offline mode, with bots.

bots will take way too much work, there are other things that should be done first.

simplest solution to aim training is like i said FFA, DM is popular in csgo for a reason, SD just need to get off their high horses and accept that having FFA in your game is a good thing even if you “only make objective based gamemodes”

I think i’m not ready to see Rhinos and naders everytime when i want to play FFA or deathmatch.

What a load of horseshit.
Bots will take a lot of work, but adding DM will not ?
Guy wants to train aim, in relatively calm and stress-free situation, with moderate challenge and plenty of time to thing and react.
And “solution” for that is a 16man FFA, where every1 are shooting at every1 constantly and without any particular goal but to kill everything that moves.
I guess nowadays even most stupidest ideas will do, just to attempt to push thru DM idea. Especially considering that it would go in exactly opposite direction of solution to the problem in question.

you have to be absolutely delusional if you think creating a new gamemode on existing maps (and a simple one too) is as hard as programming AI with good enough dodging skills to make them worth training aim against.

yes FFA is relatively calm and stress free if you want it to be. DM in csgo is how people train their aim in that game for a reason. It’s constant fighting but no stress as it doesn’t matter if you kill or die, idk what else you would want to practice DM.

They could use Obj maps too. In fact, it would be kind of fun. 5 minutes on the first section then spawns take place in the new section (and the old section is closed off). 5 more minutes then the next section (if there is one). Would allow you to learn the maps while practicing aim.

Honestly I think being able to instantly repeat the target practice portion of the tutorial would be good enough shooting practice for me. Add a button to restart it or something.

Now, for map practice and trick jumps you can already do by using console commands.
