Trading up to gold fragger

(Bestfinlandball) #1

Is it worth it ?
I would use the following cards
-M62 power rifleman (fragger)
-BL71 bastion operative (sawbonez)
-T51 elite rifleman (skyhammer)
-B51 something (skyhammer)
I would still have
T51 for skyhammer (alienware skin)
K51 for fragger (in case i hate thee gold one i get)
No good sawbonez one (BL71 is terrible so i don’t use it anyways)
Any question are welcome (and zo are awnsers)

Just tell me have you done it and if so, was it worth it ?

(Yes) #3

Sure, if they are loadouts you aren’t using.

Trading up for color isn’t worth it, imo. It’s purely cosmetic*. I’ve only ever rolled beyond bronze using cards I didn’t want, in hopes of getting a loadout I do want. – It’s almost never worked.

*With the exception of cobalt, having all that blue in your outfit can be misleading to enemies.

I have no idea what your codes mean. Most people referr to cards calling the primary weapon and highlight the best perks (even if you could read it out of the codes to a degree).

In general silver, gold and cobalt are only different to bronze in terms of the skin. Everything above bronze is purely cosmetic.

For me, the conclusion is to just go for the bronze loadouts I want in the first step.
Either by trading up for 2500c for a try buying them from the store for 17500c. Depending on how much card/crate material I got.

If I got the loadouts I want, I would start trading up for cosmetics. This would also use the bad bronze loadouts I possibly crafted before.

So, I would keep hunting for a good bronze fragger (M4+ explodidendron or K121+ reload speed) that you maybe already have, since I dont want to decifer it above

If swag is totally important to you, you might want for that possibly bad gold one. If you can wait a bit and play the game for its gameplay instead of bootifoolnezz then go for bronze and the rest will come by itself soon enough. I got all the mercs and good loadouts by now and still couldnt be arsed to make a cobalt despite having enough material and cash… I kinda dont want to.

What if i say that i never use 3 of those 4 silvers And for the 4th one i have a bronze replacement (K51 has the K-121 and +30% reload)
Also i probably can’t get a loadout i don’t like since all of fraggers weapons are great* and augments are just a +

*except the BR-16 which i could use after getting used to it

Most people actually use the loadout codes, which are shown on the card.

It’s not us you have to justify the risk to. But, if you’re not using the cards you’re going to gamble away, you aren’t really losing anything.

In a very specific discussion or with all the loadouts posted in the thread like stoker currently. You got a clue of all the codes posted in the original post without looking it up?

@amusingPalanquin
Gold just costs you credits that you might better spend on new merc. Its a gamble after all. In the end its all up to you, if you want to have it, go for it. If other things might be important to you, youd better save it up for other things.

Codes are much easier to refer to. When in doubt about what’s what, you can see them all in the Loadout section of the in-game store or here.

Love your genome project, thanks for that.

Gotta say I am out of the learn-all-Pokemon phase, though. (Along with my peers…)

go for it bruh

(Amerika) #13

Always keep the bronzes you want to use for each merc and trade-up anything else you get for cosmetic upgrades IMO. Trading up what you’re currently using for a small chance at getting something you’d want to use and in the color you’d want to use it (Gold has 3 variations for example) isn’t that wise since the chances of getting what you want are worse than Vegas odds.

(Bestfinlandball) #14

My other choice would be to trade in 3 silvers but that’s just crazy considering the fact that the trade in system is so bad now

(B_Montiel) #15

As long as you’re not using those loadouts, go for it if you want.
But don’t trade-in. That’s a bad choice anyway.

Keep in mind though, depending on your expectations, the chances of having what you expect are small (1/9 if you want a specific loadout, 2/9 if two are ok, etc…) on a single trade.

Would you use it if it were not cobalt? Not sure if he has any other weaker loadout.

(Bestfinlandball) #19

Would you use it if you had it ?
K92
Primary: K-121
Secondary: S&W
Melee: Stiletto
Augments:
Tough
Cool
Enigma

Also the grind for bushwacker has started!

I would since the K-121 is underestimated by a lot of people. I won’t miss it. So there are two other possible loudouts left that come with chopper, focus and springy (too slow for chopper and springy to be a big advantage and don’t use ironsight that often) and the other with drilled, focus and cool (same here for focus, cool at least is helpful in some cases, just drilled is really great).

Whereas I have enigma, cool and tough. Enigma is helpful for sure, cool is the same that comes with the other card and isn’t that usefull, tough is great since you are a one man army a lot of times and it helps a lot in cases no medic is arround.

To sum it up, in my opinion the K92 indeed is the best of those possible loutouts for me
