I kind of agree with you @Kelben as I have traded up three cobalts from lead and it’s not a nice feeling if the card is bad or might be bad, thankfully I’ve only got one card that could be called bad (B42 Arty) but I like it for the ammo pack spam. Hopefully the new system will be done in such a way that that feeling is not as prominent when you click that button.
Trade in/Trade up rework !
Well, I have to remind that a lot of cash shop introduce a chunk of RNG without getting an awful lot of backlash. Just look at TF2’s loot case system : they’re random as hell yet they’re massively popular. Gotta get that 1% chance unusual hat.
Totally agree. I spend money also in dirty bomb. I even buy bronze cards. But anything beyond bronze feels scammed. I mean I would buy more if I get the things I pay for. If I trade several gold gards and get the same gold card back then no thanks. I just enjoy the free game and don’t spend any more money on it. I would spend more money on skins and stuff like in League of legends that I can’t get for free. You have created amazing game but really don’t know how to monetize.
@understandingKaleidoscope
If they replace all trades by this feature, cobalts cards will be recyclable.
What do you guys think, should I trade-up to a cobalt before or after the update? (still need a gold or 2 but a few equipment cases should fix that)
Actually I think this looks great. Hate wasting time trading up through each rarity, and being able to quickly trash out the garbo cards sounds great. No reason to complain about the $ cost to choose a weapon, never had the option at all and now we will. The sooner this is released the better in my opinion.
I expect it not to change cost of trade. They must tweak some values as for now (according to the video), you need more than 6 silvers cards to craft a gold.
Maybe they can keep trade up and see what feature is the most used, like a test, and then do some changes if needed.
Those are the developer cards. Both Nexon and Splash Damage have a single developer themed obsidian card for each merc.

Edit: I find it kind of funny how the Devs picked the most popular and arguably most beneficial cards for most of the mercs, while the Pubs looked like they picked a card at random.
As it was said a few times before, Special Edition / Obsidian cards will not be dust-able.
However, we are working on a fix to make those outdated cards up to date.

We didn’t get to pick our cards.
Well, someone clearly did, cause there’s some clear best picks there
I bet they passed a hat around the office with merc names in and everyone got to pick a card depending on what they drew.
I feel bad for any SD employee who plays a sniper though, 3 PDP loadouts? D:
Just curious @RazielWarmonic , do you guys have access to ALL the Nexon cards or just a few of them each?
About weapon kits. I am not saying they should be easy to get, but limiting them only to arsenal crates, which is an RNG layer and availability is limited is not good.
Take an example of culprit case. Many people werent happy with shotgun card, because they just dont play that way. Bacisally wasting an event card.
When you are finally making a crafting system, dont stop in the middle. Go all the way to making it accessible.
Even with lower RNG, I will still have a high chance of never getting my favourite weapon for cobalt on a merc I want. With the rate that crates are dropping, it will take a long time to get enough weapon kits for one card for one merc. 3 mercs possible for each map. People like to rotate them also.
There is a reason why games go away with too much RNG. It puts people off when they see the effort they need to put in it, which ends up not being rewarded. It isnt about too much effort, its about the system being rewarding.
RNG doesnt reward you, it just frustrates. Effort rewards.
Honestly I think it is hard for developers to properly balance between rewarding players for their organized efforts from things such as skill and rewarding players with chaotic effects such as from RNG. The Gaming industry still feels quite young too me. It feels like it is going to take time in order to gain the wisdom to understand how do things in the best interests of everybody. Errors will be made. As long as every one grows from the experience I say lets give it a shot. The changes should be interesting at least.
[quote=“PD_Agent47;191332”]I agree with that Credits cost but the Real money price of Weapon Kit is really high i think . .cause 1 weapon kit is like 5.79 euro … i saw that gold needs 5 such kits and no idea about cobalt … may be 10 weapon kits … Then just remember how much would i have to spend to select a weapon for cobalt skins … I personally think it’s high so ultimately i am gonna end up in crafting without the Weapon kits and again it’s the same old RNG with 1/9 for a merc …

weapon kits have no cash cost, not available in store
“Weapon Kits are very rare drops that allow you to narrow the possible resulting Loadout Card for a Craft to a particular primary weapon for that Merc. Weapon Kits are essentially vanity-only items, and can therefore only be used on the “bling” tiers of Loadout Cards: Silver, Gold and Cobalt. We plan to provide other ways to acquire them going forward, so stay tuned!”

No wonder y’all love RNG. You were blessed with such amazing cards from the almighty RNGesus.
