Hello again mappers! I’ve got a new map, this time heavily marinated in silly and served with a heaping pile of absurd! Because it’s a beta, I’m really, really looking for feedback from both players and mappers.

Overview
The Allies have uncovered the source of an Axis chemical refining campaign. Determined to neutralize the threat, Allied forces are attempting to destroy the chemical stock pile by releasing three volumes of Axis-developed ‘counter-agent’ into the circulation system of the refining facility.

That map is huge!

Nice grimey atmosphere.

I like the water effect in the drain at the top of the waterfall in your last screenshot.

And I found these 4 pipeish things that weren’t clipped (on the way into the capture point), I’ll upload a screenshot if you want.

And being so huge, players will no doubt want directional signs.

CP model is missing until it’s built.

A couple of health racks would help - I fell off of the catwalks a few times. :oops:

Makes me want to load up RTCW and play that version too.

Yes please, a screenshot would be helpful.

Yeah your right, I will put in signs.

Yeah, and the CP currently looks pretty dumb anyways - I need to make a cool looking brushmodel.

The Allies do have access to the same Team-Only health and ammo chests from Baserace.

Very nice Map. Nice atmosphere cool lightning i like it very much. But maybe only may ducks a rainy (Acid Rain? :evil: ) dark sky would add a little more grim atmosphere. Here are two Screenshots with hints

very open Space maybe add more Cover. Havent played it yet so im not sure about that.
But maybe you could add some cooling Towers and Chimneys in the Background. Oh and if you do add some flares to the Towers :evil: :evil: :evil:

Excellent work on this map. The atmosphere is great. I kept wanting to F5 for a quick save before going into another room. :lol: My FPS was pretty consistent throughout the level (between 80 to 90). The lighting and texture were right on.

Like was said before, only one missing texture and some signs might be helpful. I also noticed at the first Allied spawn the player can see outside the level. It looks like a wall might be missing.

Looking forward to the final version.

like with other big maps signs are needed. sometimes ppl get lost :oops:
and big maps are very cool. never get tired of them

BaronBlabla falling water is brush with water texture+shader

thanks, I knew it! it was a texture (shader) and just a brush, but you need the falling water shader don’t you???

NO, only water texture that shader make moving and this is almost every water texture , from almost every water texture + shader you can make falling water . Try to apply different water textures you have in Radiant textures, compile and you can see what does it do in game , everyone is do it. ( water texture without shader will not be working)

The falling water in Facility31 is the same texture as the ‘flowing trash water’ - but applied to a patch mesh and then stretched across one axis. Actually I need to fix that textures shader - you’ll probably notice how it blends incorrectly with other transparent textures.

Thanks for your feedback everyone. With your help, I’ve compiled a nice task list of changes that will improve next release of the map. But don’t let that stop you from posting more ideas if they come to you. :slight_smile:

This map reminds me of the sewers in Half Life. Nice. Waiting on the version that I don’t get lost in. :smiley:
