If SD is willing to put up some brackets, or someone with a site, I would be willing to throw in like 100$ just to get something rolling to get people on and getting teams together etc. I know it is only 20$ per person, but still anything to get the ball rolling… what do you guys think? Or instead of cash, can do like a year free of a voice server or something.
Tournament
I certainly approve & thank you for the gesture Strife but I’m afraid it’s still a bit early to try to get a really serious thing going on.
It would be so much more enjoyable when there are more teams, when the game is more polished (gameplay, opti, etc), and when there is no NDA anymore.
How cool would it be to have twitch streams with a proper spectator mode?
I’m in favor of an international tournament at the release of the closed/open beta.
I think it’s to early for that right now, maybe later. But it’s great you actually purposed to get the ball rolling, I like that.
Think we are keen to run something like this during the closed beta, but I don’t think we’re ready just yet.
It’s a great gesture, but if I were you I’d hold out until OBT. Maybe until then you can contact a trusted league and donate to a release tournament or something. The game isn’t really complete yet so I’d like to watch such a tourney pan out in the final version of the game :).
If we are going to ensure the final version of the game is ready for tournaments we need to do some testing before release in a truly competitive environment
ok well then, you guys let me know when we are ready, and I will make something happen worthwhile
Save your money and make a fun cup now. So the casters can test the new spectator functions.
excel is your friend… or word
binary beast will break NDA and then you go to prison
Nice to hear! we are also open to sponsor somethings for a tournament later, shouldnt be a problem to organize some cool things from our sponsors

check the things on the left
for example Tt.esports or adata[/QUOTE]
Have you gotten any gear from them? I’ve seen a lot of ‘sponsors’ that don’t really provide anything, but let websites advert for them. It would be cool to see them donate stuff for a future tourney though.

I’ve already spoken to Tt eSPORTS about getting some gear for a tourney in this game
I’ve never heard of adata.
A data builds ssds and ram or usb sticks…
And yes, we get hardware support from them, if its time for tournaments we actually have green lights from our management to host a cup… so np for prizes
