"Tough as nails" achievement problem...

(Punisher_ITA_) #1

Ach: “Win all storyline campaign missions (exc. What-If missions) in either Online Versus, or in Hard mode”

I have a problem with this achievement because I can’t check at all which mission I haven’t completed hard or online seeing it shows me all completed (but perhaps some normal). Any way to check it?

(kronus126) #2

Why not just set it to hard and play through them all? It should only take an hour or two.

(Cep) #3

I understand the problem too, its not very insightful to have them checked with no indication of what level they were completed at. The only reason I know which ones I have not done is because I started a new char and only played the hard level.

(Punisher_ITA_) #4

What about just fixing it? I think it is really easy.

(kronus126) #5

As easy as starting a new character or just playing them on hard? I think its an unnecessary fix. They could spend their time fixing other things.

(Punisher_ITA_) #6

And moreover I don’t want to replay all the *** campaign @ 30FPS.

(gooey79) #7

Create a new character, start from the beginning. Not only can you track what you’ve completed but your low rank should make the game a little easier (I think!) allowing you to progress faster.

Pain in the ass, I know but you’ll probably need to replay them anyway in the game’s current form.

(Punisher_ITA_) #8

This would take 1 minute perhaps. And moreover, I repeat, there is the 30 FPS problem they haven’t fixed yet.

(Punisher_ITA_) #9

I don’t get why us (players) should compensate programmers lacks… we have paid the game, right?

(gooey79) #10

Unfortunately, you’ve got to play the hand you’re dealt. Or wait in the hope they patch it.

(MrFoxer) #11

Why doesn’t freeplay count as online versus, why is there even an online versus option if it’s the same exact thing as freeplay?

(wolfnemesis75) #12

Just play through every single Campaign mission on hard. The circle will be white when you select campaign if you beat it but will not tell you if you beat it on Hard. No Hard Mode tells you when you beat it. You just have to do it and not miss any level. Are you on Xbox? I will help you tonight at 9pm if you can wait until then.

(Punisher_ITA_) #13

We have waited enough I think, in particular to see the awful 30FPS single-player cap fixed.

(gooey79) #14

I agree which is why I and some others are offering alternatives. Regretfully, if the alternatives aren’t to your liking there’s not much else can be done other than just keep playing in the hope it pings.

Honestly, if you want the Trophy/Achievement (either PC or X360) the path of least resistance will be to play them from the beginning with a new character.

If not, well; I’ve already got it so na na naaaaaa na naaa!

I thought there was at least a workaround to see achievement progress… but it doesn’t seem so (I should have expected it btw).

(Punisher_ITA_) #16

So no way to see campaign progress, neither through some tricks?

(wolfnemesis75) #17

I have all achievements in Brink. Simple solution is to re-do all missions on Hard! Not that hard once you’ve done it before.

(Punisher_ITA_) #18

Ok mate, I respect your opinion but could you please try to understand why it should be (easily) implemented?

Because I don’t want to play 30FPS (every gamers like smooth gameplay, Brink singleplayer isn’t at all). Moreover a single little flag near the difficulty setting could let us know which have been completed. I don’t think they need to hire another man for a thing like this lol (the achievement itself does the check). It can be just a positive thing.
