Riot:
This idea isn’t new. A lot of people suggested it already and I think the Devs are working on a similar one called turtle. But that aside, yeah why not. Kind of a hard counter against Rhino.
Scorpion:
A sniper with mines that can hold you in one place, a good sidearm SMG and the most powerful melee weapon in the game? Sounds terrible for every non sniper player. Don’t like it.
Infiltrator:
He can see the enemy team, disable their abilities, is so fast that he outruns and flanks nearly everything and has double the damage then every other merc because uses the best SMG in the game akimbo (as a f*cking secondary) and two even better weapons? That guy would even as an assault without his abilities overpowered.
Gunslinger:
Dude… a medic with double revolvers and double shotguns that can deal 390 dmg very 15 seconds. Why would anyone keep playing Fragger, Nader or Fletcher? Medics aren’t supposed to deal massive damage. That’s why there are assaults.
Rocketeer:
Don’t make this game another TF2 where Soldiers dominate everyone else.
I appreciate that you came up with some Ideas but take some time and think about balancing and fun for both sides, not only the one who plays your new mercs. Counter Play is the magic word. Except for Riot they all sound extremely frustrating to play against.
While im not the best at drawing (far from best… like 1000000000000000000000 miles)
I till like to draw the images my self, so they have little bit more touch of unique, i dont like to take pictures from net and say it looks like this. (then again it could safe others from bad art XD)

I never said that these ideas are completely unique, i mean, there is merc called javelin and what i have heard that he is a merc with a rocket launcher. And turtle was a wall builder. Phantom is a ninja cloaker, Aimee is Vasili 2.0, RedEye is a gass expert and Stroker is pyromaniac.
Scorpion
While he can pretty much trap people and snipe, hes smg isnt good compared to others, its more like auto pistol and it eats ammo like he.ll, needing it to reload all the time and needs more than 10 bullets to kill stronger mercs. Im still balancing him, this isnt done yet.
Infiltrator
Fast as sonic? yes. Can see enemy team every 12s? yes. Can disable abilities for 7s? yes.
Can deal double damage? yes. Has best weapons? no. I balanced Vector so that its more like nerfed Hocfir (since i made Vector as a secondary weapon), I haven’t wrote this yet, but when firing with both guns at the same time the recoil gets extreamly high, making harder to use and impossible to use in long range, also dual wielders cant take aim. So he has to stay close to deal that damage, and what happens when a happy rhino comes to play?
Gunslinger
I wanted to make a battle medic, healing type but with more agressive gameplay, but unlike others, she cant heal her self. Also, those sawed off shotguns will have huge recoil and reload time, she is more like a reload simulator because all her weapons take long time to reload (each ammo seperatly)
Rocketeer
She isnt realy a soldier type, More like support (no shi,t) that stays behind, since rockets can kill her in close range and she CANT rocket jump, also ammo station takes it time to deploy and give ammo. (i cant beleave i forgot that i made her another ability other than ammo station) Her primary is smg/rifle hydrid, making it have higher fire rate than rifles but lower than smg, longer range than smg but lower damage than a rifle.
While it does not seem like it, yet, im taking my time to think counters and balance, this is evolving post so expect to see all these mercs stats change, i take feedback and balance them (and make their consept art).
I also took few notes from you to make them bit better balanced.

Yeah the clip is empty really quick but if you take the math thats 10 dmg per shot times 20. Now we reached Rhinos health. The high rate of fire helps here because he can riddle the opponent within the blink of an eye. Even if the gun spreads like hell you just have to hit 60% of the clip to kill Skyhammer and less.

I thought you were referring to the Hochfir with “M9” I’m not that good with those “Here some letters and there one or two numbers”-kind of weapon names. But yeah. Google told me it’s a pistol.
Not being able to aim down sights is not really a nerf since it’s not really necessary in this game and many players even unbounded it for something they really need. And increased recoil? The game I played before Dirty Bomb was Blacklight Retribution and compared to that the highest about of Dirty Bomb recoil would feel like a no recoil hack. So I personally would have no problem at all compensating the recoils since I’m already used to it and played for years with a gun that hits the sky after 5 shots.
Since he is so fast he would just jump around the Rhino and blast him away with his both hands full of death.

The problem is that a medic should not be able to one hit kill anything except he charges it up for a long time which makes him very vulnerable. Take the defi or Sparks revive gun for example. But those are just a secondary use, the primary use is to help people.
Neither Aura, Sawbonez, Sparks nor Phenix have offensive abilities and allow me a wild guess: The devs want that it says that way since they are Medics not Battlefield Combat Medics who can switch their Medi-Kit to a Grenadelauncher.

but look at it this way. She can one hit kill a light/mid merc every 15s from nearly every range and can hold up to 4 of those things. Fragger (who is made to kill people) can also one hit kill a light/mid merc very 15s BUT only within trow range and can hold only two grenades. So Rocketeers ability is better then Fraggers and his is considered as one of the strongest in the game.

While i can agree with the weapons stats, the problem is that i cant realy make perfect example of recoil or spread since the ingame stats are not precise and wiki does not know half of the weapons stats (like reload speeds and even that can be halfed with: wait for reload animation to have the character to put new mag in the gun. just as he has placed the mag, run, now you have full mag without full reload animation)
Now while current weapon recoils are pretty minimalistic, i can only say that the dual wield recoil will be much bigger (with some spread) making sustained fire hard to control. (i cant give any numbers since, well we dont have any numbers to toy with)
(i also refer the weapons by their ingame names and weapons that havent been added to game with their real names, M9 is both a real pistol name as it is ingame name [there is also M9 Bayonet knife].)
(hocfir is in real life H&K MP5 (with extended mag) and Tolem is also MP5, only cut in half)
My knolege about mercs in this game is that they are all made to be unique in some way and are more suitable for differend play styles. (spark seems to be more like sniper and medic hydrid)
So i tought that a battle medic would be also a good idea, but with a sacrifice that she cant heal her self just like other medics can, but also being more agressive. Good or bad idea, its still an idea.
About the spread of the scorpion pistol/machine pistol. While you say that it can effectively take out rhino, it would in reality with a spread and fire rate like that, make more miss shots than actual hits. And while it could have change to deplete 60% of skyhammers health, the skyhammer still would win (if he does not need to reload same time scorpion has to reload… hes scorpion…)
About rocketeer, i will balance that out. Just comment what you think about it after that.

Well i was a #### idiot and didn’t notice the option to put the pictures in post by using img command, im sorry for this and have now put my terible consept art more visible to everyone, sorry for this inconvenience.
Ok now there are total 2 merc ideas per every class (assault, recon, support, medic)
They all will have consept art and backstories. (when they are made)
Just give me feedback about the mercs and i try to balance them. (possibly even change abilities if needed)
Since Dirty Bomb wiki has now more data about weapon stats, i have been able to make weapons in this post even more balanced and unique compared to eachother.
More mercs and art done:
Ray and Speeder backstory done.
Speeder, Whir and Scorch consept art done.
First part of the consept art has been done, only remaining are Ray and Gunsliner… i think…

I really like most of the concepts. (not so with xigen, speeder, infiltrator and hunter)
