Toggle use not working.

Since the last update it is not working at all. At first I thought the game defaulted my settings because it’s done that before, but toggle use is on and I still have to hold F.

Try changing the option from the front end off and on again.

I’m having the same problem. I tried switching off and back on but it’s still broken. This ‘ought’ to be an easy fix, so I hope they can hotfix it right away instead of waiting a month for the next patch.

Can I ask, how does toggle work?

I turned it on a while ago, like 3 months ago actually, thinking it would work for repairing the EV and stuff. It has never worked for me.

What does it work on? I just assumed it would work on any objective (planting domb, disarming bomb, repairing EV etc) but I’ve literally never been able to make it work on anything? Always have to hold my button down.

When it’s working, it works on everything, and before this last patch, it worked fine for me. So if it never worked for you, this sounds like something more than the Devs accidentally switching it off in the last patch. /sigh Still, it ought to be a simple fix, I mean, we’re talking about a switch, basically.

Yeah I’m not sure. But I turned mine on probably about 3 months ago but it’s never worked for me. I am just so used to holding the key down now I kinda forgot about it haha.

Are you talking about diving into the .ini files and changing it there? Because switching it in game was the first thing I tried and it didn’t work.

I’ve talked to all of my friends who play this game. Over 40 of them as well as several players in matches and everyone’s toggle use is not working properly.

It’s great that you guys finally changed it so we can disarm the c4 when a teammate is laying on top of it instead of reviving them, but not having toggle use restricts a player’s movement if they didn’t rebind the use key to one of the side buttons on the mouse like I did.

No, I was talking about the front end options in the settings menu while you are on the home page. :slight_smile: sorry for the confusion. I do see/know there are issues with toggle but there has been a few reports of changing it on the front end fixing this issue. (with glue and tape) =)

After testing this last night after turning it on and off again, mine only works when delivering or returning an objective.

Repairing the EV, planting C4, disarming C4, pretty much everything else it doesn’t work on for me.

Edit: It also doesn’t work on helping someone up. I dunno if it’s supposed to or not, but yeah.

Same thing happened to me. As of last night delivering and recovering objectives is on toggle, but everything else I have to hold.

@NxA_Noxie Any update on this issue? It’s still a problem that is persisting and for players that have the default F key bind for use and I’ve noticed is really limiting their movement. Personally I have my use key set to one of the buttons on the side of my mouse, but I would still prefer to have my option configuration to work as intended.

I know this isn’t ideal, but re: movement, just FYI - If you push your key to get the objective started, you can then hold down shoot and release your key, and that keeps it going.

So if your key is F, hold F to start repairing, then hold shoot at the same time, then release F. Holding shoot should keep repairing. Works for everything. C4, objectives, EV etc. I dunno if that’s even supposed to be in the game but it’s something I found out by accident.

Thanks for the tip. I didn’t realize that you could do that. Right now I have my key bindings set to F and one of the side buttons on my mouse, so I have full movement control over my character.

Yeah mines the same, I use UHJK for movement and L is my key, so same as WASD and F. Tbh even before I figured this out I would often just move my big finger down to K so I could still strafe left and right, but it was kinda stretching my fingers and annoying to do haha.
