If you have this enabled, it keeps sprinting even after you’ve shot, stopped, backpedal, crouched etc. Kinda like Titanfalls option to “always sprint”.
The only time sprint should keep toggled is when you jump. As it is now it feels really clunky. Also, sometimes it feels like the Toggle Sprint has it’s own life, working sometimes and sometimes not.
Im fine with the toggle sprint, the only bad thing it does is… when i reload sometimes it activates back and cancels reload, but sometimes not, and the reload finishes, then the sprint is on again.
I’d suggest, when we hit the reload button the sprint should turn off, if we manually toggle it back, then ye the reload should cancel and sprint should be back on again.
I think the fuction is working as intended. However, I would much prefer it as the OP is describing - that’s what I’m used to from other games (Call of Duty and Borderlands come to mind), and it’s working quite well.
It could even turn into a third option: Hold to sprint, tap to sprint, toggle sprint.
