play time 296h

app 3 or more sets of missions a day ( except comp missions )

if i hadn’t wasted money on stupid bronze card with BR-16 and testing even more stupid trading i would get them all in 270-280h play time

i played only when i have missions = no mission no play

EDIT: i forgot at those times when i had completed missions or almost completed missions and i got kicked for security violation or few times when game crashed so maybe it would take me 250h

nice, ive only got nader and sawbonze.

with over 100hrs played…plus i bought nader for real cash… :open_mouth:

been saving for bushwacker for the last week and im now at 35000c atm.

I have all mercs at 250 hours, but I did purchase a 3 merc bundle to support the game, and got fragger for free. I also have enough credits for the next merc in the bank.

I have done a lot of tradups and bought 3-4 bronze loadouts.

(Grave_Knight) #5

I’d probably work on trying to get 1 of every card starting with Bronze. To bad there isn’t a card binder system that lets you protect one of each card if you place it in there.

(Ferrett321) #6

how much you earn per 3 hours is determined by your missions, not to mention how well you play in game (base fee payout).

(Rjsto) #7

base fee is just the time it takes to get from start to finish, it’s something like 12 credits per minute or so

(Shananuga) #8

I’m now at 238h in and i play extrremly casual. Only every now and then and only with missions. Sometimes i even dont finish all of them and i got now every merc i atleast want to play. I’m still missing Fletcher, Kira, Phantom, Proxy, Rhino, Vassili, Arty, Nader and Phoenix. So i roughly own half of them. Additionally for every merc i own i have my otimum bronze loadout card + gold cards for Bushi and sawbonez. Currently i still have 70k credit and wait for the next new merc.

I dont play DB hardcore nor have i some ambitious goal. I just play for fun when my fps itch appears. I can say I’m quite satisfied with what I’ve achieved so far, though i know i could have much more if i finished my missions and play when events come one.

When i started out a few month back i also was quite shocked with the pace you earn credits. Back then there werent any missions so it was quite devastating honestly. Right now i think the pace is quite fair but thats only because there aint much to spend your credist on. That and a lack of ingame goal is what still bothers me.

I think a lot of Problems would be solved if the tweaked the Tutorial and let you test every merc in said Tutorial before purchasing(maybe a short game against bots or something?)
theoretically you can test every merc when they are on free rotations but we all know that gamers are impatient bastards.

So for all the QQ from newbies i just have to say that sadly DB is a game were you have to outsource your knowledge to get the full experience. Once you do this you will seee that some stuff is a bit hidden and makes it quite easier once you know about it (buying bronze cards as well as mission cancelling, reward boni and map awareness for example).

This is correct. It is 1 credit/5 seconds.

119 hours and play fairly casually (1-2 hours a day when I play), besides Skyhammer and Aura, I got Fragger (Free), Proxy, Sawbonez, Bushwhacker, Redeye, and Fletcher. Waiting for Stoker to come out so I can buy him as I have enough credits for a new merc.

It proves that the game has poorly designed economy.
300 Hours, the play-time when you had the missions only. Assuming it took you like 1 hour to do the set of the missions and someone’s play time is limited to few hours per day so he can do only one set of missions, then he would need like 300days to buy just the mercs alone.
I am sorry, are we playing a shooter, where the progression should be fast and easy or a bloody RPG when you need years to unlock the content?

As the one, that hates the missions which affects my gameplay i skip the ones that are forcing me to get support xp, or some other shit and it looks like this:
I join the game, drop some mommy quests, the one i am left with is 500$ worth, i get the 1000$ for the first win and first StopWatch, i do not play objective anymore since i can’t play with my friends, then after 10 rounds or so i am left with 500+1000+200x10= 3,5k.
It gives me one Merc per 2 weeks?

I don’t really care about it, since i play for competition mostly and i stick to 3 mercs alone that i already bought. But i know a lot of people that likes to unlock everything to get the full content. Sadly, without spending few $$, they will have hard time doing so.

If they don’t have very much time to play, and don’t want to spend any money on the game, they really shouldn’t play Free to Play games.

It’s not like you NEED all the mercs to play this game.
If you don’t have enough time to unlock all of them, you probably don’t have enough time to play them all.

(Backuplight) #15
It’s not like you NEED all the mercs to play this game.
If you don’t have enough time to unlock all of them, you probably don’t have enough time to play them all.
Exactly. The goal of the game isn’t to unlock everything. Once you get to that point, you’re essentially just doing what you were doing on day one. People trying to say it’s poor game design for it to take this long to unlock everything for free seem to be looking for the wrong things out of their games.

(Litego) #16

Over time we all get roughly the same credits for the missions. Assuming all the tiers of missions are equality distributed, that leaves us with an average of 750 credits per mission, or 2250 credits per mission set. Which means that the first mission set of the day on average leaves you with 4250 credits for ~1 hour of play time. Then you add 720 credits for the credit gain per minute and we’re almost at 5k for the first hour of play.

(Vinos) #17

I am really against the idea of unlock mercs for the sake of having unlocked them all because it increases the chance of getting a mission which requires you to use a merc you don’t play with often or don’t like.

(TheAcidpiss) #18

you dont need to play with the merc at all, they just need to be one of your three merc squad

(Drcipres) #19

Are you just playing to get everything, and then leave it, and go to other game ?

(Vinos) #20
I use all three mercenaries in my squad in a round filling three of the following roles at different times: medic, objective specialist and fire support (ammo).
I am not going to use a merc in any of those roles that I don’t like, simply because I cannot enjoy the game as well without the specific mercs I often/always use.
