Tired of the Hate

yah - realized after i posted, that i just remember the crashes more that happen while using xmb (f-ing confirmation bias!)…

the stall outs do seem more frequent post patch/dlc. i’m not sure what they tweaked (or if it’s just “one thing” that can be fixed vs. a whole cluster of issues that contribute to (in)stability.

It’s not been a gamebreaker for me yet, but has left me really disappointed a few times when my team made an incredible push to make an objective…only to have the entire match flame out…just happened yesterday on sec tower…sigh. (again, confirmation bias prevents me from remembering the times it “benefitted” me, but that might just b/c i think those sorts of ends are particularly unsporting…even if unintentional)

that said. the small teams matches do seem a bit more robust. i would conjecture that it’s a traffic issue, but it’s happened in matches with only a few humans (+ bots) too, so who knows…hopefully they’ve got their ears on this. they must have some way to track “time outs” and the like…

What he is refering to is more of a personal thing, some others have that problem also, personally I think it may have to do with connections or something else. But yeah he and a select few others on my friends list get booted often and have to rejoin, its to the point of I rarely think they are ditching or backing out and assume its a freeze or boot.

@Chamber666, sorry to hear the problems have gotten worse but trust me its not a big overall problem and something more isolated. Enjoy playing with you and hope you dont give up or get too overly frustrated and drop the game all together. If anything let me know when the problems are bad and not so bad and I could maybe help you determine if its due to the host/connection or your game on your system. I have had similar problems off and on but lately not so bad outside of whole games ending for everyone (due to host leaving?).

Not everyone.

(thesuzukimethod) #104

lol dude lol.

or as they say…touché

i played a small teams match last week where i’m pretty sure one of the regulars (not me) fragged (as in on purpose) his own teammate (not me)…the three of us were running from the spawn to make a push in a 3v3 game, and all of a sudden, this fellow was dead by the hand of our 3rd teammate. a bit later in death spectator mode, i watched him run up to the offender (who was making a pointless MG nest), and he gunned him down. i wanted to ask him, but we were all on fireteam so i figured i’d wait. it made me laugh, regardless of intent.

(Oschino1907) #105

I think he is refering to those who know what precise firing is…
i don’t understand why you claim that i have personal issues? can you tell me more about it ?
how did you came out with such conclusion? appreciate.
Puts on pseudo-psychology cap.

I’ve been to at least half a dozen psychologists (ie the ones that can’t prescribe medication) in my youth so, of course, I consider myself an expert.

Hmm, here you seem to be showing a significant lack of empathy for the game developers based on your personal, visceral reaction to a video game.

Diagnosis: Mild sociopathic and overaggressive personality traits.

Ooo, over-inflated sense of entitlement. (This is one of my favorites.)

Diagnosis: Evidence of genuine psychopathic behavior.

I hope that helps and I’d be happy to diagnose anyone else who doesn’t understand why they get flamed when posting to forums!

I wouldn’t call it self-entitlement. He paid 60$ for it, he has the right to voice his dissatisfaction if he is not happy with the product. Especially since the game isn’t anything like the stuff which people decided to buy the game on.

(Jimmy James) #109

I didn’t actually say “self-entitlement” and maybe this is an indication of the problem. It seems to me that the people who feel that they deserve some kind of special treatment because they shelled out $60 are the real problem on these forums.

I will personally send you haters $60 cash if you promise never to post to the SD forums again.

Jackasses.

Wolf, my fellow Hardcore Brink fan, I hate to call you out like this, but pie piping? WTF?!

The Pied Piper of Hamelin is the subject of a legend concerning the departure or death of a great many children from the town of Hamelin (Hameln), Germany, in the Middle Ages.

Pied
Part of Speech: Adjective (comparative more pied, superlative most pied)
Definition: Decorated or colored in blotches.

That piper bastard wasn’t “piping pie,” he was wearing a patchwork jester’s outfit.

So there you go. One to grow on.

After reading Second Foundation I always find court jesters to be creepy.

That’s a very healthy reaction. All clowns and clown-adjacent people are dangerous.

personal insult detected.
Puts on pseudo-psychology cap.

that prove one thing: you have issues with your brain, therefore you should not use internet where normal peoples, who like and who doesn’t like the game share their oppinions.

Noone but you insults me as a person instead of discussing OR ignoring my oppinion.

Please continue your treatment because it seems they failed in your youth. And to be clear here: i’m ignoring you since now because of what i just said about you. You can try hard to reply on this but best if you wont and just accept the facts.

p.s.

sup fanboy?

OK. I think this thread has hilighted that there is still plenty of personal animosity in the forums.
Can we get it closed now please?

(Jimmy James) #115

What it proves is that I have had professional help. You on the other hand… (If you can’t see where this is heading go to your nearest psychologist and have him explain it to you.)
