No, and sorry, but it’s rediculous to call newbs stupid. No one is born with Brink (or game) skills and knowledge. They will learn and pleasant & patient people will add to the drive to stick around, which is important for the game’s longevity. Plus it’s a good sign if there are many newbies around, isn’t it?
He didn’t call newbs stupid. He called stupid newbs stupid. Newbs = good. Stupid newbs = bad.
I’m on the fence, I think
While I do get a bit miffed when people aren’t pulling their weight on my team, it’s balanced by a slight feeling of guilt when I’m on a team who’s holding the opposition. It could be their very first time in the game after all
EDIT:
He didn’t call newbs stupid. He called stupid newbs stupid. Newbs = good. Stupid newbs = bad.
It’s sometimes difficult to differentiate between the two ingame, no?
Everyone has to start at the beginning, we were all “noobs” when we first got Brink. However it is a right pain when your incapacitated and the medic your waiting for runs right over you without a care in the world.
See thats the diffrence between a good noob and a bad noob, im a good noob cause ill tell ye im running past you and ignoring you as a medic, with teamchat…cause i have low/no charge, then ill die next to you
A bad noob however will just die beside you…
Frustrating is when your team is “newb” not even tryng to do the objectives and just sniping dming etc, Resort is a classic map where that happens a lot.
And guess who wrote 99% of the reviews for this game…
Lol another great review on N4G today 6.3/10 form another guy who kinda understood the game but failed to get some major parts of it while like usual giving Brink a hard time where many other games get free passes.
I’m not going to sugar coat anything. Everyone playing online multiplayer games should know what to expect. Besides, Brink is so easy to understand and the game mechanics are so thoroughly explained you have every right to call out ones stupidity.
Some objectives are, some aren’t. Some of the HE ones say “Guard the pillar” for both teams which is a bit wrong. I’m sure there is a tutorial video in the game and be more objective level 1 should help.
Just needs to be called Training instead of Challenges and people will start to understand.
But of course there are those who won’t look at tutorials or even read the manual, dive straight in, then say its a crap game because they don’t know how to play it.
I agree objectives aren´t objective , guard the gate guard the pilar etc, but newbs dont know it means somone needs to place a bomb on them.
