Tired of losing ranked

due to leavers. and so are all my friends. please do something about this.

People leave for a lot of reasons. Sometimes games crash, sometimes they get frustrated, or sometimes life happens. You can’t halt someone’s life for the duration of a match, and no amount of penalization will stop 100% of leavers.

Hackers aren’t something the devs can just get rid of overnight. If they could, they would have long ago. But anti-cheat development is more complicated than just “getting rid of hackers”, it’s identifying new hacks, studying how they affect the game and get past the anticheat software, and finding a way to block them. And once you think you’ve finally got it? Someone releases a new hack that the system has never seen before, and the cycle repeats.

Basically, there’s nothing that can be done about what you’ve mentioned. There’s no magical cure that can stop people from leaving or ban all possible hacks, the devs are not gods, and you need to understand that.
What should be done is a redesign of how the system calculates your rank based on matches. If the system was based less on team performance and more on personal performance, losing to a leaver wouldn’t be as much of an issue, so long as you still tried your hardest. If you can’t solve an issue, solve how the issue impacts the game, so it’s no longer seen as an issue.

perhaps, but the rest of the team doesn’t need to suffer dropping a rank due to leavers. i’m sure there’s a way this can be fixed.

I’ve been playing ranked everyday since it came out and i’ve encountered only 1 hacker so far. I think you’re exaggerating my dude and you might be that level 7 player who thinks everyone is a hacker and complains about losing

Haven’t found any hackers in NA ranked. I get tired of losing due to incompetent teammates. For some reason I get stuck with clueless players. ;’(

Then there people like me we know the game know exactly what to do to win but just completely suck at fps in general but try any way cuz we are obsesed with the game.

On that note about being obsessed im guessing there wont be no kawaiii action figures now that hopes of a db store went down the drain with the nexon contract

Splash damage hasnt said anything about merch store. Raz and oneletter were the ones that said they were looking into merc store

no sir. I have almost 2,000 hrs invested and have played tons of COD and other fps titles. I know how to spot an aimbotter and a lot of times it’s as simple as opening up the steam profile of somebody I suspect and seeing their VAC bans on file. If you’ve only seen one hacker consider yourself very lucky or you’re just another hacker trying to cover his tracks.

A VAC ban isn’t 100% evidence of hacking. Seems like you’re just extremely unlucky though. I’ve only seen one obvious hacker so far.

A VAC ban or a private Steam profile coupled with a suspiciously high K/D sure is suspicious, though.

I haven’t met a single hacker in ranked (played like 40 games so far). Leavers are also a problem, but not as much as before.

However, it is good that SD improved matchmaking so the ELO difference is smaller, but the ELO doesn’t describe one’s skill good enough in the first place.
I’ve had a game yesterday, which was practically 4v5 - the other team had a poor unranked Rhino finishing the game with 3k score and 5/30 K/D while our medic almost reached 20k and the others were 15k+

I’ve got almost demoted to bronze despite I have almost always top 1-3 score on the server regardless of winning/losing, mostly because leavers or players who give up and switch to phantom after the enemy team successfully pushed in a map that favours attackers… Not saying that I’m good or something, but I’d place myself in high silver/low gold, considering that I can win most 1v1 fights (i have 38% accuracy with the stark AR and that is mostly headshots)
