Already bought vasilli and want to improve been pretty decent at sniping in other games but just cant’ seem to get the hang of it here.
Tips on using vasilli, too late i already purchased him :/
Sadly I feel there are no real tips for Vassili.
You probably know that already but try to hit heads.
And always throw your heartbeat sensor.
Other than that…practice, practice and practice.
another question i’ve seen some people that seemed a little ridiculous with the vasilli, like walk around the corner boom hs and literally almost every time its a hs(really peeves me) and I was wondering if they are ever any illegitimate players in this game it could have also been the dudes ping (like 400 or something) but god that just flipping riled me up.
Press ESC>Change Team>Spectator
See if he’s legit or not, if not, make sure to report him. If he’s legit… well, deal with it xD.
Also, a good tip to play (not only Vassili) is to use the same sensitivity on all games, the best way to discover your global sensitivity, is to check how many centimetres/inches you need to move your mouse to do a 360.
Your heartbeat sensor has a life time of 10 seconds. Your ability cooldown is 20 seconds. You can keep an enemy team marked for half of an entire match. That is really what you should focus on while playing Vasili. Apart from that, if you’re on defence, pick a good spot and try to just lock down a flank. Force the enemy team into using a different route to the Obj. The route where your team will then be able to focus them.
If there’s no such spot, just, cover the obj and your team. Really. This also applies to playing on Attack. As Vasili, make it your job to stay so far away that you won’t get caught up in the madness, but close enough that you can still shoot without having to wait for someone to randomly wander into you. If you can’t kill the defuser, you’re being useless.
One example of how to do this is on the first objective in Terminal. If the attackers place the C4 in the left corner, you can stay inside the building with the generator and have line of sight to anyone attempting to defuse.
If the attackers place in the right corner, because they’re dumbasses, you can stay on the balcony and shoot them from there.
Apart from that, always shoot medics first.
Also, Proxy, Aura and Sparks you can kill with a bodyshot if you’re using the bolt action sniper. These also are usually high value targets, which you should kill before other enemies.
how do you report people by the way saw some dude that needed to be reported but didn’t know how
his ingame name was REMOVED and 44/1 kd along with only being level 7 watching him it look like he had a uav knew where all the players were.
Just a word of warning, there’s a no naming/shaming rule on the forums moonstoneDuck. Was in the match myself and I put in a report on the guy. Very obvious aimbotting.
It happens from time to time, although I have noticed a bit of an upsurge of suspect players lately.
But yeah, that one wasn’t suspect. Full blown aimbotting.
Edit: Reporting someone is done by pressing “Tab” during the match then left-clicking to allow cursor usage.
Then click on the player’s name and select “Report”

ah sorry about that and thanks wanted to make sure the proper procedure could be taken next time I saw something like that.

Practice with the PDP until you can get headshots pretty reliably, then make the switch to MOA (if you want)
PDP can 1 shot headshot 90hp and under, so it’s a great practice weapon. Also try Redeye, you may like him with dreiss/ PDP.
Like everyone said, practice.
Or skip him lol. He has much more limited usability/flexibility than other mercs and people that main Vasilli will often stick with him to the detriment of the team’s goals.
Just don’t be that guy lol
Tip 1 is don’t even use him… there’s always a better merc you can take. Your basic squad should be a mechanic, a medic, and a DPS character. Someone could argue Vasili is DPS but he’s not objectively useful like a skyhammer against an EV.
Tip 2 since you have him and you probably want real advice in case you actually wanna use him. Throw your sensors all the time. Your primary job should be sensors, secondary job is sniping. Get the semi auto sniper rifle. It’s easier for a newer person to do damage. Hit the guy a couple times and you can finish him with your secondary.
Tip 3 if you’re going to snipe, always be in a position to snipe the objective. Whether that’s covering the armed C4 on offense or covering someone defusing the C4 on defense. Or defending your mechanic on offence or preventing the EV from being repaired on defense. Way too many Vasili’s are nowhere near the objective and not even looking at the objective. These people are useless. Also, if you can’t see the C4 and nobody else can help stop someone from defusing, pull out your secondary and run in there and get your hands dirty.

yeah i just realized the potential of sparks, like a vasilli but with way more support power by raising people up and throwing out medi packs, definitely meant to play ranged but can also handle one on one cqc maybe slightly less health than vasilli but if you’re a good ranged player it shouldn’t matter.
when you practice, try to find places to throw the heartbeat so the enemy team can’t destroy it easily. Also its good for taking down rhinos or turrets from a safe distance, and for instakill damaged enemies (even if you dont hit the head). Also focus on taking down weaker enemies, you’ll have more chances to kill them than hiting a healthy rhino.
and obviously, search for various snipe positions for covering the objectives (eg: preventing the c4 defusal), and move between those positions. And please, dont camp bh if your team is loosing (change your merc, try to gain ground or time, and then back to vasili)
Also, sensor works through walls. Very useful on underground and under the bridge on train yard.
Also Redeye can be a lot better for sniping due to high contrast IR goggles.
