“Timed Out.” “Timed Out.” “Timed Out.” “Timed Out.”

My server was running at full capacity (all 16 players for about 30 hours straight) now I’ve lost all traffic. So I went to check the issue… nothing on my end, server running just fine. Oh what’s this? It now doesn’t show up on the Steam server browser, in game, and says “Timed Out.” whenever any player tries to connect. What’s the issue here? This didn’t happen until the HLDS update…

Update, now showing on steam server list, however still “Timed Out.”

I noticed there was a dedicated server update downloading in steam tho, I wonder if that’s part of what’s going on. Either way I opened a ticket with my GSP.

There was an update for Brink that released. I was having the same problem with my server - just ran an update, restarted it, and all is well now. I’d give that a shot.

I ran the update tool on my server, and now it won’t even start up.

I finally got mine to work. Don’t ask me how. I restarted it about 70 times and poof magic.

Same problem here, server was working fine, full 16/16 all night until around 2pm CST, then nothing. 0/16, timed out every single time. Doesn’t even show up on the server list anymore.

Found my problem. The GSP’s command line, at some point, dropped the serverspawn/mapname command. If you’re using a command line I’d double check that it’s there, otherwise you’re server won’t come back up if you shutdown/restart it.

My server isn’t showing in my favorites list, still, but it is showing in the steam server browser at least, and people can connect to it fine.

It looks like I have everything in order, nothing has really been changed. I can even spawn the server on a new map - it just doesn’t show up for people to join. The server is actually up, Brink just can’t seem to find it or let people connect to it.

I’m a total noob and could be doing something wrong, but really I haven’t touched a thing since it was last working.

My server does not work either. Same “Timed Out” error. None of my friends can join either. I am hosting via GameServers.com and the server worked fine last night with a full 16 people. Today, after the update, the server no longer functions. I’ve tripled checked my config and it works just fine.

Your spawnserver command is incorrect.

It should look like this.

I tried your fix, it still gives me a Time Out. Granted I haven’t touched the file since the update, now even after a full re-installation it does not work.
