Time to Kill Poll

So, as I’m curious, what do the people out there feel about the game’s current Time to Kill?

Vote in the poll, then in your reply (if you choose to reply) state previous games and maybe a reason as to your answer.

E.g:

I voted too short, mainly because sometimes I lost a firefight before I even realised one was going on. The sheer number of OHKOs in this game is irritating, and OHKOs don’t give time to react. MG turrets do heaps of damage.

I have played Arena shooters before, quch as Quake Live, Unreal Tournament, and other games like TF2, Loadout, and Blacklight Retribution.

I love it, now while getting the jump on someone gives you the advantage, it’s possible to turn the fight around with superior aim/coordination.

It’s actually pretty damn good tbh. I considered making it longer but I don’t feel it fits the game.

I think that TTK is damn near perfect in DB. Sure it can be tweaked back and forth, but why mess with thing that works.

I would say it’s fine, but it’s inconsistent in my opinion. Various spreadsheets and other sources have exact kill times, and they’re always much, much shorter than I experience ingame. Like some SMGs kill in under a second on body shots only on paper but ingame I feel like it’s 2-3-4 seconds. But they’re fine. You don’t die too fast like in CoD games, but you don’t have bulletsponges.

I think kill time is based more on skill than weapon stats

There’s statistical TTK and realistic TTK. You will never have perfect accuracy so stats on paper can only say so much.

Unlike CoD, you can make a comeback due to who’s aim is better which gives it a completely different taste.

It fits well. Some might think it’s a tab too short, but in context to the games general pace, fits just right.

Feels fine to me, body shots don’t do much compared to headshots, and it makes the difference between fights lasting half a second, or way longer.

Try shooting someone standing still, notice how they die almost instantly? but a dodging target seems to take 2-3 seconds to kill? You aren’t landing all your shots.

That’s the thing. It feels like several seconds on a standing target.
