Tiebreaker

(Sandpuppy) #1

so I am in this game with chaospinhead and it looks like we got no way to finish it  2 soldiers left on market, one madame and one juan, madame very weak, juan very slow, both just circling around within the scoring area, never getting into each others reach

I wonder why there is no “timeout-countdown” - if no shots are fired and no score achieved for 4-5 rounds > results in a tie (money split equally). would make sense, no? or some kind of tiebreaker is needed…

I guess I have to step out of the scoring area in this particular match to let chaos win, he is ahead in points and health anyways. still an official draw would be nice

Bahahaha. This is not my first “market adventure” either. I had another game that went 32 turns before the other guy gave up! It’s frustrating…basically just running around waiting for that “1 square” mistake to try and get a shot off and get lucky. There should be a “offer draw” option that splits the pot 50 50 if both players decide it’s ok! That would be a good solution I think anyway. I mean it will be pretty close anyhow with both players only having 1 char left both damaged.

Madam ought to catch Juan any day

(Sandman77) #4

Agreee…

(Desparado) #5

Lol you crack me up Crozz. Some of us are not as skilled as you, friend

(Crozzton) #6

Well she moves faster

(Desparado) #7

True enough.

But seems that madame has less health than Juan which means she will be killed by return fire if she attacks. I also think that there should be some kind of tie-breaking system, and Market is the map most likely to become deadlock. Like “draw after 25-30 turn”

(Golden_Dawggy) #9

I second this suggestion! I’ve been stuck in a game with two captains and two turrets in market for a pretty long time :frowning:

(Sandpuppy) #10

yes, madame with very little health left (and could not leave scoring area any more) and juan nearly full

(Crozzton) #11

Agree that you can have situations like that. But the I would say that since madam can’t kill Juan team Juan ought to be the winner.
Instead of have a turn limit ( have had a 30+ match without a real deadlock) there ought to be a draw button option. Perhaps available after 20 turns then.

After turn 20 who ever has more health wins

(Domm) #13

think its even better that Rocket holdings goes before health… but it would be good with a limit of rounds.

(Coup_de_grace) #14

One thing which is badly overlooked and under-used is the ORBITAL strike. Specifically at the MARKET map. Strikes can target any three squares from commander position with radius range of 2. Damage dealt is not reduced within target range of 2 unlike grenades and other explode-ables, thus making orbital strike an effective range of 5. The most awesome thing about it is not the rather awesome and standard damage but it can target pass obstacles.(which makes sense since i assume we are using GPS targeting :P) Your opponents will NOT be safe even behind full cover, or in this case hiding behing the market stall.

(Bwade) #15

I always use the orbital strike on market lol

(EL-CO) #16

I’m in this kind of situation right now and really want have tiebreaking rule (I think I posted this request a few month ago). Automatic draw after 30 rounds seems to be reasonable for me. I don’t want to decide winner in such a situation by health (which will favor heavier units) or by rocket holding (which will favor the first player). Draw with sharing coins equally would work fine.

(Coup_de_grace) #17

AGREE! Another possible implementation is when it is down to 1V1 and both sides have not taken any direct damage(non DoT type dmg) for 5 rounds consecutively the game is drawed.

(Ranger007) #18

if ur juan has full hp, just stand still and let madame fires at u so u can return fire and kill…

(Sandman77) #19

Ranger007 loves killing my team off that way.

(WillisYu) #20

He is a careful player. But once when we watch each other across the Bridge for 3 turns, he finally gave up and push forward to let me win. Lol…
