I don’t really understand what it’s supposed to be good at tbh. I switched to the Timik.
Thunder's LMG Discussion
I think both K 121 and MK 46 could benefit from the bloom stabilizing faster after firing, making them easier to tap fire. I can handle the larger bloom per shot but at least make it easier for me to squeeze out rounds for hipfire.
It’s basically the SMG version of the K121. It’s definitely weaker per bullet but accuracy is a lot higher in close range. I had no issues putting down three people and still having ammo left for a fourth person in most situations even with a lot of body shots. I do feel as though it might be a bit weak in some situations but I also feel as though I need more time to learn the weapon. It feels like a KEK10 with a huge mag to me and I need to get used to that mindset and how it works in a lot of situations before I can formulate a solid opinion.
I merged another thread with this one in case anybody was wondering.
I understand that it is the opposite of Fragger’s K121 but I feel that the MK46 should get a slight damage buff. It usually takes half a clip to put down an enemy if you are landing body shots and definitely chews up your ammo real quick. It is time consuming to kill an enemy by constantly spraying and praying at them and sometimes is quite annoying.
It is quite weak but the concussions every 15 seconds makes up for it really
I guess they tried to balance it in such a way that you would be able to mow down several people with it WHILE fully affected by the concussion grenade. When they’re standing still and not shooting back, the MK46 does wonders you guys
but using it in 1v1 I see myself losing many battles that I approached confidently.maybe thats because the DPS isn’t high enough to compensate for my insanely low movement speed+big hitbox combo.
I don’t wanna talk as bad about him as everyone does since I do believe he’s meant to be played sorta like Rhino, although offensive, with a support behind your huge back and always in the midst of things, instead of flanking/lonewolfing like I usually enjoy doing^^
The gun has huge dps potential, but it’s very reliant on ads and good aim to make that potential happen. I frequently have moments where I feel like my gun is my scythe and my enemies are grain to be harvested, but I just as frequently feel like the gun shoots marshmallows when I start missing with it.
I’ve found a lot of success hugging walls as him so I can spam wall jumps while ads to compensate for his hitbox while still maintaining reasonable accuracy. When it works, it’s damage seems comparable to the hochmathinger smg, maybe slightly higher.

I heard somewhere that the MK46 has 11 damage… so it’s basically a giant Hochfir with way more recoil.
Using the weapon, it is my least favorite choice for thunder. Ak or Stark any day. 1v1 you will lose a gunfight unless you hit all headshot because the guy is so big and slow and the damage is so weak. The concussion needs to be changed. It is pointless if it affects teammates to the same extent and blinds yourself. Even when i look away I still am out for a second or two.

The recoil never really bothered me. The bloom-per-shot however… that’s some crazy ish man.
After a few days, I think the MK46 sucks a bit. I guess the K121 and M4 spoiled me with Fragger. Ive played the MK46 a fair bit, and MUCH prefer the Timik.
The MK46 is just too unstable, and despite a fast RPM, its weak per bullet compared to Fraggers LMG. I lose in gunfights that I shouldnt because of the spread and recoil. Didnt have that problem with Fraggers LMG, and we know the recoil is terrible of that thing, but you get great power per round too.
So for now Timik > MK46. Because even with I crouch or ADS, the MK46 isnt consistent with headshots. And given the strength of its bullets, thats what I need to aim for to win gun fights. The Timik is strong and accurate enough that I can get away with body shots and still win a gun fight.
PS - I dont ever think about using those burst rifles with a tank class…hence why I didnt mention those guns.
Charmander - Empire 9
Charmeleon - Hochfir
Charizard - MK46 (without wings cuz it feels weird and have you ever seen a charizard without wings ?!?)

I thought Charizard was the most powerful evolution.

Yes, but without wings he no longer has the advantage of being both a fire and flying type. He’s just a fire type so can’t learn flying type moves.
By the ways, Blishlok is totally the Magikarp to the K-121’s Gyarados.
EDIT: Did some math and well…The Mk46 is subpar to the K-121 in every way except RPM and recoil. The K-121 does more damage per bullet, its slower RPM makes recoil more manageable, it has better range, better reload time, better damage per second. To top it all off they have the exact damage per magazine (935). Even compare it to Thunder’s other weapons the Timik has more manageable control and predictable recoil while the Stark just out damage the Mk46.
I’ve heard the Mk46 is suppose to do 12 damage. I wonder if that’s the problem, somehow the damage got changed before it was implemented making it the worse gun of the two.

I like the comparison someone used, that Mk46 is a kek10 with 85 bullets. That sounds about right to me. However, thunder’s ability will never be as good as a frag grenade, and the extra 10hp is easily offset by slower speed. I’d like Mk46 to be objectively better than k121 to balance them out this way.

Except the part where Thunder’s ability is objectively better…once they fix the bugs and it actually works as it is intended.
At least from a competitive stand point. From a pure Pug stand point I understand how getting one, MAYBE two kills (since the nerfs) are more important than potentially disabling an entire team+disabling things like healing stations/mines/turrets however.
disabling an entire team is never gonna happen, no team ever sits in one spot as 5 people. If they did, a frag grenade would get a multikill + severely damage the rest, so still better than concussion nade.
Disabling deployables is very minor too, as the only real deployable in comp is aura station, and frag grenade blows is it up just as well.
