Tbqhf, thunder can do a lot of damage if he gets lucky with a flash grenade. Take for example the last part of train, lets say he throws an airbang and he blinds four people. That could be six seconds of combat ineffectiveness for four teammates standing several thousand units apart from eachother. That’s a fringe case as we know, because generally nothing happens and thunder is dead weight.
Normally I love balance like this. Stuff that mixes things up and isn’t too controlled, that let’s skillful players go berzerk. But I think that this stems in both directions too much. On average it is completely useless, but sometimes it’s insanely powerful. Stuff like airstrikes at least zone people out reliably.
So considering the resources of sd I don’t think an overhaul is due, but the flash should be shortened substantially and occur much more often. It should also be primeable.
It shouldn’t have the infinite range blind it has or i think it has, but it should still be a hearty distance. Maybe double the circumference of stokers fire should be affected based on if their front, side or back is facing the detonation.
