Post "hotfix"coughNERFcough I’ve noticed the situational conc nade, became even more situational to the point I barely bother using it since the 1.6sec fuse gives people plenty of time to look away, the only thing to fairly compare Thunder’s nade to is Fragger’s, and since Thunder lost his ability to cook his nades I propose the same nerf be applied to Fragger since Fragger’s is honestly FAR more powerful than Thunder’s original conc. My main problem now is even if I land a well placed conc with Thunder, people have no problem hosing me down since the conc effect doesn’t even blind the target anymore. Honestly it feels as if Thunder got Phantom’d out the wazoo because a lot of the playerbase screamed OP rather than just looking away. Rant aside, my point is if you’re going to nerf the less dangerous of the two nades, just nerf both to even the playing field.
Thunder's and Fragger's Nades
Personally, to add more skill I feel like cooking should be part of all nades.
I’d rather they re tool the on contact explosion to just reduce the fuse time by 0.5 seconds when the nade collides with someone.
To be honest I don’t like the idea of going down the route of nerf everything. I would prefer if Thunder was simply buffed a lot and fixed because this hotfix broke him.
True, but it’s one of those things that while we’re at it, we should look into all nades in general.
Cause one thing that does really grind my gears about Stoker is how I constantly am killed by panic molotovs. Literally everytime I round a corner and I see a Stoker, he throws it at me, or if I am fighting him and it comes back, he tosses it at me.
If someone manages to land a direct molotov from across the map, that’s cool, but my issue is the dudes who pretty much use them for close range as a desperate measure when they can’t win gun fights.
I like the idea of a long arm time coupled with hitting someone with a nade rewards you with instant reduction in the arm time. Maybe that’s just me.
