I just bought Thunder a few minutes ago, and I was very disappointed with him. Firstly, his conc grenades. Often, unless you get a direct hit, which is practically impossible since you cant cook, and they just have to look opposite direction. All it does is mostly just blur their vision, but they can still completely fight back, and it doesn’t seem to effect them. Even with full effect, they are only fully blinded for a few sec, which is not long enough to kill with the his light machine gun which is quite weak. I feel like Splash damage should really update him soon, and buff him. I’ve seen other discussions about the under powered-ness of thunder, so I think I’m not the only one. Just wanted to make this to make more attention to this.

try using ADS with MK46 at midrange. if you aim right you will outgun everyone.

Keep in mind Szak that situational = weak – and as is Thunder is very situational. He loses his duels with every other assault class the vast majority of the time.
yes – his ADS is very strong. But it’s simply disingenuous to presume that one strength makes a good merc. Otherwise we would think that Phantom is strong because invisibility is pretty good.
Thunder needs a serious answer from SD on the following 3 concerns:

He is horrendously squishy. This is due to his Rhino sized hitbox and the fact that the majority of guns kill him in the same number of shots as Fragger.

Given that his concussion cannot directly do damage – his LMG is simply nowhere near as good at delivering damage as a standard Fragger M4 + Frags.

His concussion does basically nothing.
That’s really, really bad, since Thunder’s ability might be the only thing that can stand a chance against Assault classes in tight quarters. Rhino+Aura is a dangerous combination that can’t be taken lightly.

Phantom’s invisibility is crap. He needs a support ability or be able to take on the Assault role. Otherwise, he’ll stay crap. -
Thunder is basically on par to the Phantom at the moment in terms of how easily he gets killed. That’s a problem because Phantom isn’t up to par against other assault classes.

Thunder is supposed to neutralize mercs who are only good at killing other people, with his flashbang grenades. He is also supposed to neutralize the cancerous Aura+Rhino combination.

He used to be able to make mouse sensitivity have a speed limit when direct contacting enemies. This made him useful, but people complained about it.
Also, from what I heard, the devs overnerfed him before release because of how powerful flashbangs can be in games like Counter-Strike. They could have instead just put the flashbangs on a squishier body like Phantom instead.
