I don’t know whether to buy thunder or fragger? Some help please
Thunder or fragger?
Fragger outdoes Thunder by a mile. Currently, Thunder is considered weak because of his weak LMG and good-for-nothing Concunades.
If you want to play as an Assault who can kill people, Fragger. If you want to play a Recon who has problems killing people, Thunder.
Unfortunately Thunder is in a bad spot right now. Fragger would probably be the best choice either way, but as it stands, Fragger certainly is the better choice right now.
Fragger, wait for Thunder’s fixes and balances and buffs in the future than buy him.
Thunder can wipe out a whole room flanking with the large ammo cap and fragger can face them head on.

As so many here have pointed out, until he gets buffed, Thunder is a bit less reliable when compared to Fragger. Thunder’s benifit of large ammo clip and health can be of benefit. (Also, only character to have both the kukari and chopper argument.) Unfortunately, the flashbangs are very similar to Fragger’s nades without the killing potential. Fragger’s up-front damage is very effective. Why blind someone when you could kill them instead with a cook-able nade?
The difference in LMG’s is also quite noticeable. Fragger’s is high-damage and low rate of fire. If burst-fired, it can be very strong: especially with headshots. Thunder’s large ammo capacity is beneficial for covering fire in aiding teammates with a near constant-stream of bullets. It’s really up to personal choice.
Personally, I like the difference in them, but there’s no reason as of now to choose Thunder over the more lethal option. (I dunno, maybe give him another nade or something to differentiate him.) … ‘-’ … (Just a thought.)
Thunder is more comparable to Rhino in terms of hit box size and speed. But instead of having a beastly minigun, he has an average MG and unreliable concussion nades. Fragger feels faster and seems to have a much smaller hit box. He also has better weapons and godly nades.
With both of them having been on free rotation now, I must say I tend to do much much better with Thunder. It depends on playing style I guess. I never care much for K:D, and am very much an objective and support type player. The MK46’s high rate of fire and ammo capacity allows for much greater suppressive fire capabilities. I’ve won matches, not just by flanking, but also by plainly putting multiple enemy heads down. Who cares if you kill them or not? If a teammate can sneak by with/to the objective, or if a teammate can finish them, you’re doing a good job.
Because the effective range of the blinding effect is much larger than the damaging area, let alone killing area, of the nades?
Also, getting blinded and shot in the face is ten times more frustrating than just getting blown up, so Thunder has much more RQ potential =P

I think the concs are still a bit buggy in places. I’ve been right next to one, staring at it and it’s had no effect. Coupled with the fact you can hear and see hit markers while blinded, and you can counter his only, not so great ability pretty easily.
